So I just remembered there was behind the scenes footage of a scene between Robin and Rumple included in the Secrets of Storybrooke special. Pretty certain this scene was for episode 417. However, I looked back and noticed that this scene never made it into the final episode. Keep in mind that they were only in the middle of filming 419 when this special aired, so chances are this isn’t from a future episode. Plus, who knows how long it took for them to edit this special together.
Yes, we did see Robin and Rumple interact, but the only scene that we saw of them together in the flashback was the scene with them in the tavern. This scene clearly takes place during the Dark Castle. My guess is this scene was going to explain how Robin used the emerald curtain to travel to Oz, but they cut this scene for time. They likely thought showing Robin emerging from the curtain into Oz was enough, despite leaving the question of how he used said curtain as a portal in the first place. If so, this frustratingly shows that other plot holes could have very well been the victims of deleted scenes.

What is in Rumple’s hand, a wand? Is it the same wand Robin later took to heal Marian in Lacey? I really want to know whose wand that was and why Marian was sick while pregnant with Roland. I thought it was a wand too, Slurpeez. Wish they had left this in or released it after the airing of Heart of Gold. It would be a nice tie back to Lacey and help to fill in some plot holes, especially since the episode was already tied back to Lacey with the clover (and recasting of Robin) and the arrow that never misses its target actually coming from Oz.

I’m guessing Rumple was the one who gave Jefferson his hat in the first place, and had a spare. Would explain why Robin entered Oz through the emerald curtain, since we know that’s what the Oz door in the hat looks like.

Didn’t Jefferson say he got the hat from his father? I thought that was said… I could be wrong…
Anyway, depending on what time this occurred, is it possible Rump got the hat from Jefferson after he was stranded in Wonderland? I mean, I don’t think Regina would have had much use of it. Keeper of FelixLike the deleted Hook backstory from 406’s script, Adam has posted the script of this deleted scene between Robin and Rumple. Though, we don’t know if there was a separate deleted scene showing how Robin used the curtain to get to Oz. Like the other scene, this one is not canon:
