I thought the Jolly Roger was enchanted so how can everyone see it in SB, and NL when he was with Cora you couldn’t see it.

Cora turned it invisible. It’s not naturally invisible. The spell probably wore off.

And Hook was never in NL with Cora. The only time we saw the JR outside of SB was NL of the past with Bae (before he met Cora) and in FTL of the past with Milah (before he met Cora)

The visibility of the JR is a bonafide plot hole–but I think we don’t see it invisible after Cora dies. So I go with it ended with her death, although not all her enchantments did (like Tiny).

Ok, yes he took the JR to NY. And it was invisible on the way back until they entered into SB where it became visible again. And it has since stayed visible, maybe because Cora died and no one put the spell back on the JR.

Besides how can he drive that ship my himself

The ship is magical and he’s a really good captain. Jack Sparrow and Will Turner sailed the Dauntless by themselves and Jack was the only pirate. I’m just saying that when you’re dealing with magic, somethings you have to accept on an act of faith.

Question: If they would have returned to FL, wouldn’t Dr Hopper turn back into a cricket, and Rumble to his old ugly self ❓

Hopper was not born a cricket, so I don’t know if he would turn back into one. Rumpel’s curse is interesting–it is unclear why he didn’t go all scale skin the moment magic came back. I have a theory that Belle’s love broke the “skin deep” part of his curse–the ugly shell. Not the rest of it.

Depends on how much magic is still left in FTL, I suppose. We don’t know how the Curse affected magic in the world. Cora seems to be able to use her abilities but that may be because she was untouched by the Curse, living inside her magic bubble, and Emma as well but that has to do with the fact that Emma is basically just MAGIC. My instinct would be yes, Archie would become a cricket again and Rumple would become the Dark One on the outside again, if he hadn’t been “cured” by then.

I like the Rumple part of that theory. I know magic is different in SB but I also know many wondered why he didn’t become his green gold self.

Maybe Rumble added something in his curse so he wouldn’t turn back after all he had to find his son and if he look like he did in FL, I don’t think he would have gotten very far.

Jimminy being a cricket was a “blessing” given to him by the BF. She says to Jimminy that ” Find the boy, Jiminy. You will live as many years as you need to help him. Just find him.” So one question is, if Gepetto dies, would Jimminy? Or would that “help” transfer to little Pinocchio? Does Jimminy need to stay a cricket any longer–would he want to be a cricket? His original reason for it was to help him get away from his parents, and to in a way atone for all the bad he had done as a thief, especially the creepy puppet curse thing.

I don’t think the show is going to pick his story back up, but I think it could have been really interesting. What if, having experienced being Dr. Hopper, and having helped Gepetto and others in that form, he no longer wanted to be a cricket? The BF’s spell wasn’t meant to be a punishment on him.
