Great points, Phee & Mysterykat. I do find it amusing sometimes to think about the funny little things though. They are “potholes” bumps in our road, not “plot holes” to be annoyed over or destroy the fabric of the story 😛

On anohter note the comment that Regina made to Gold about Cora beating Rumble so to speak but he said he won do you think this is in reference to the wizard fight that was on – The Sword and the Stone (King Arthur)that was a cute show and the battle with the wizard and the witch was funny too.

I don’t know about pulling in Arthurian legend into this, but it obviously refers to something that happened between Cora and Rumple after the birth of Regina. We still don’t know how Cora found out about the dagger. I bet whatever ever happened, Rumple’s dagger is a key factor.

I don’t think it’s a plot hole, but more of trying to understand his motives. There’s been some discussion about it elsewhere–RG probably knows where better than I do though.

Kat if you have a theory post in S3 discussion, if you please. Let’s try to keep this thread centered mostly to questions. Theories can always have their own thread if they aren’t exact duplicates of something else (which I’m guessing it isn’t because I haven’t seen a whole lot about the *why* of Rumbelle)

Didn’t A&E say Rumple left Belle behind because he wanted to protect her. Rumple believes that Henry being his undoing means that he’s going to die and he didn’t want Belle to have to witness that?

Pretty much. He’s looking out for her: he doesn’t want Belle to see him die because he honestly thinks he is going to his death. In his mind, “undoing” means death. He doesn’t perceive it as possibly meaning anything else.

This is a good question because I don’t think Rumple knew who GOAT were. He knows who they work for, and he only knows because he knew they went to NL. That’s what clued him into to who they were. Before that, he didn’t know.
