I don’t disagree with that, I’m just saying that August and Neal didn’t necessarily need an intermediary to be presented to each other prior to “Tallahasse”.Oh, I get ya 🙂
I meant August being in SB once before in relation to how Jefferson could have known about Emma.
In other words, both theories could work because neither one cancels out the other, while both are good explanations as to how certain characters could have obtained certain info.[adrotate group="5"]June 3, 2013 at 6:52 pm #197105RumplesGirlKeymasterI am very fond of the NL = Pleasure Island idea. It would explain August and Bae, but then you need a way for Jefferson and August to know each other.
I hope we get bigger hints to that in S3.

We do have the screen shots from the deleted scenes of August at Jefferson’s house.
Don’t know how they know each other, but they have def met at some point.June 3, 2013 at 8:21 pm #197116RumplesGirlKeymasterI know. But if NL = Pleasure Island and Pino was there, then we just gotta make the connection between P and Jefferson.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"June 3, 2013 at 9:37 pm #197120JosephineParticipantI have a feeling that they decided to just scrap the Jefferson/August connection. Has anyone actually seen the photos of them together that was cut from “Hat Trick”? I’ve heard all about them, but I’ve never actually seen them. But then we also have to figure out how August knew Neal was Bae. There are just so many unanswered question that might never be answered now that August is a little boy again (sorry, but that was the worst thing ever to happen on Once).
I know a lot of you don’t agree, and Eddy and Adam tell everyone she’s good, but it just keeps revolving back to the Blue Fairy. I don’t care how much they deny it, I think she’s going to be the ultimate manipulator/puppet master in the end. Maybe I’m too much into Rumple, but there’s something shady about those fairies.

I don’t hold much faith that we’ll see it either. We might still get Jefferson/Neal, but Jefferson/August? The very much talked about scene with them was deleted from “Hat Trick”; they don’t really need to acknowledge a connection between them, and with August have been reverted to a child I think the show’s done with Eion Bailey.

And now you do :):

There are a couple theories about that, but yeah, it’s one of those unanswered questions

I don’t think anyone disagrees with you here. August reverting to a boy was indeed terrible, it shows just how creatively bankrupt they were regarding the character. It’s clear now that August’s reason to be in the show was merely as a plot device to have Neal abandon Emma to be arrested by the police without the former having ulterior motives, if they intended him for more interesting things they wouldn’t have him spend half a season just playing the mysterious stranger only to do nothing when his identity got revealed, disappear for almost the whole following season and return only to be reverted to a little boy, which to me screams character arc closed. Disappointing, really.
June 3, 2013 at 11:07 pm #197131JosephineParticipantJust from hearing rumors, and there could be absolutely no basis for them, I do wonder if the reason they reverted August to a child was because of Eion Bailey. I know some supposed crew member posted last season that he was difficult to get along with. So if the rumors were true they could just solve the problem of Eion by reverting him back to a child, thus eliminating the need for the adult version of the character. It was still crappy writing what they did, but I wasn’t shocked after Gold brought it up to Neal and the background rumors about Eion. .

June 3, 2013 at 11:13 pm #197123RumplesGirlKeymasterThere are two reasons why they could have cut that scene:
1) It was too much for that episode and they are going to revisit the idea later
2) They decided it didn’t work and want to take a different approach.
Even though we have the picture to prove it is there, until it is actually on the show, it’s not canon. So it could be that at one point A and E wanted August and Jefferson to know each other, but decided to go another way.

What do you mean I never heard this part ❓
Did you know they cut the scene in broken when Snow and David meet in the street, I believe P/C and Snow said something about finding their daughter not just Snow saying now I find my daughter.
Another thing on that August, would have been nice if both of them asked August about the money instead of at the table will Emma you had to kind of fill in the blanks.

There were rumors (IIRC started by Vancity Filming) that Eion Bailey did not get along too well with the rest of the cast and that was why we didn’t see his character present time until “Selfless, Brave and True”.
I personally doubt it. Like I said, August to them was merely a plot device to separate Neal and Emma in a way that wouldn’t damage Neal’s character and when he fulfilled that part they simply discarded him. 😡
