A lot of people got to keep their most important artifacts. Snow had her ring. Gretel had her compass. I suspect that Blue’s wand was in the abbey somewhere.

Probably. When we see her in Broken, on the street, it’s seconds after the Curse was broken and Rumple brought magic. She didn’t have time to go to the abbey and look.

She didn’t have her old memories, but she did have a set of instructions she had smuggled out of FTL. After all, Regina wasn’t likely to go reading the prayer books at the Convent–and if you need someone who is going to follow instructions on faith–who better than Mother Superior? She wouldn’t have her memories but she would have these notes to herself telling her what to do and when. Rumpel and Regina appear to be the only ones who were able to bring “things”–but maybe BF was able to do it too, but not avoid having her memories wiped.

May 24, 2013 at 2:10 am #195910RumplesGirlKeymasterOoooh. I like it. I’ve always assumed that Blue wrote the book and that her final moments before the Curse were ensuring that the book was brought with her to SB. Now, even though she didn’t have her memories, she would have this “sense” that the book was important and that she needed to give it to someone. She gives it to Snow to give to Henry, without really knowing why, but knowing it was the right thing to do.
So if we tie in your theory, maybe she wrote a note to herself saying “When the time is right, give this to the one with the pure heart.” It’s vague but Mother Superior would know who it meant as MM was still very much like Snow in that pure goodness regard."He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"May 24, 2013 at 2:28 am #195913HappyEndingsSpectatorExcept that the BF didn’t know she was going to be a Nun, also when Gold open his drawer in his shop he had a lot of wands why would he make a curse to give the BF her wand he didn’t like her. The writers stated that the BF didn’t have her memories during the curse but they didn’t say that she couldn’t access them. I still think that the BF did like Dumbledore and took out her memories and put a note to herself so she could access her memories again ❓
Also, what about the Godmothers weren’t there more then one how powerful were they ❓
May 24, 2013 at 2:35 am #195915RumplesGirlKeymasterWell my theory has nothing to do with the BF knowing she would be a nun, the book came with her regardless of what she would be. And KFC is suggesting that anything the BF wrote to herself in the final moments would be safe from Regina as Regina wasn’t making many trips to the abbey.
The writers stated that the BF didn’t have her memories during the curse but they didn’t say that she couldn’t access them. I still think that the BF did like Dumbledore and took out her memories and put a note to herself so she could access her memories again
I see where you’re going with this (though it’s important to remember that when Dumbledore took out the memories and put them in the Pensive, he didn’t forget them. It was way for him to actually view and in some cases go to that specific memory. It didn’t delete them from his head). As for the BF…maybe? I have always maintained that her final preparations we heard about in The Stranger had something to do with the book and making sure it ended up in her hands. I suppose she could also have done something like Rumple did to ensure that she would remember when Emma came to town, though her interaction with Emma was limited in S1 so I don’t know what would trigger it. With Rumple it was hearing Emma’s name in the Pilot.
Also, what about the Godmothers weren’t there more then one how powerful were they
The episode Dreamy seems to imply that the job of FGM was a promotion from being a regular fairy and thus probably rare. But there are lots of nuns at the abbey (at least a decent amount). Some of them were probably FGM’s. We don’t know how powerful they were. They seem to have more magic than someone like Nova but they don’t compare to the BF.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"May 24, 2013 at 2:51 am #195916HappyEndingsSpectatorDidn’t the BF see Emma at the hospital when David was in the comma? The book had to get there before Emma arrived Snow and David knew after 28 years and so did the BF that Emma would be back the BF had to have a trigger of some kind to send the book and get her memories back. Because I think she is the one that got Henry adopted as she knew her resource would be August.
Gold is afraid of something other then the BF, and I still don’t think August was in NL when he was a wooden boy sorry it just feel right to me
They used the Wrath and that was kind of like the Dempters (sp) in Harry Potter so why not the memory thing too.
May 24, 2013 at 10:38 am #195928kfchimeraParticipantI don’t think the wraith was a specific nod to Harry Potter–that type of creature/art predates Harry Potter I think. Rowling mixed in a lot of myth/folklore legend and of course, some concepts might seem like Harry Potter universe, when just really it’s stemming from the same root source of myth/folklore legend that Rowling tapped.
BF wouldn’t have to “know” she was going to be a nun to have written herself notes, and it would work the same if she created an object to store her memories. The pensieve was a specific thing from Harry Potter I think (as opposed to based on common legend) so I don’t think that would be what they would use specifically. She could have created a counter trigger though to restore her memories early, as Rumpel did upon hearing Emma’s name.
I don’t think though that BF had a direct role in Henry’s adoption. At the time Henry was adopted, August was apparently off in Phuket. He mailed Emma the keys to the yellow bug (but stole the money) from there. Neal had given August that stuff in Canada, but August waited until he was in Phuket to send it. He must have gone pretty quickly after talking to Neal, since Emma is just finding out she is pregnant so unlikely he came back 8 months later to take Henry to SB. He might have, but I think with the new storyline of the HO it will trigger them using other players to get Henry to SB.
As for saying you don’t think Gepetto and Pinnocchio went back and forth to NL on the raft–no one is saying they went back and forth on that thing. It may have been something they cobbled together after escaping, because it sure didn’t look like a planned raft for an ocean journey–but we don’t know how one gets to NL. Rumpel says he thought there were no more beans in his land, and Smee replies that ships that dock come from other lands, where they find treasures. It’s kind of curious if that might mean worlds rather than just countries in FTL.

May 24, 2013 at 12:43 pm #195929surayyaParticipantBut it still comes down to how did August knew it controled the dark one, he wasn’t around with Rumple was locked up everyone else was under the curse.
August knew about the dagger because HE HAD READ THE BOOK– remember he planted his own story in there after he stole it from Henry’s hiding place, so he knew all about it from there- if not before.
I highly doubt August & Neal knew each other from NL- it is likely August knew the stories in the book (FTL characters appear to be able to ‘see/find’ SB just not ‘real world’ people- as evidenced by Emma, August & Owen) & put 2 n 2 together, either way, I think A&E said we’ll get the story of how August knew who Neal was, maybe in S3- otherwise in a later season (they’ve also said we’ll find out who wrote the book etc as well, but didn’t give a time frame). My plot holes include:
How did SB get supplies etc.if no ‘real world’ people could find SB- there’s no way they could have been totally self sufficient (cars, phones, computers, many types of refined/packaged grocery products, ipods/mp4 players etc- that all had to come from somewhere else)? (I know this is an ocd thing to bring up, but they could have laid off the hidden thing a bit- its not like that stuff pops up out of thin air & I have to over look that fact everytime I watch S1 now).
How Henry got into SB from the ‘real world’ if SB doesn’t even exist even on a map.
How did Henry even leave SB to go find Ema in the 1st place- it’s not like he caught the night bus outta SB, or hitched a ride? 😕 😕 😕
If Snow & Emma needed the compass in order for the FTL portal to send them to our world (I assume because they jumped in without a vessel), why then didn’t GOT need an indicator to get to NL? Or Bae to our world? *cough convenient cough* 😉May 24, 2013 at 1:14 pm #195931PheeParticipant@KFChimera wrote:

Yeah, the wraith concept ain’t unique and ain’t new: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wraith

Yep, I’d been positive that it had to be BF who orchestrated the adoption…but I didn’t know that K&H had THO up their sleeves, and now they’re the ones who make sense to me. August buggered off to Phuket before Emma even knew she was pregnant, and he didn’t come back until he was heading to SB, so there’s no way he was involved with the adoption IMO.

I could see it if Pinocchio gets taken to NL, and then Geppetto builds himself a boat to go rescue him, and during the journey back, Monstro attacks and destroys the boat, just leaving them with that chunk of raft. As for how they get between FTL & NL, that’s anyone’s guess, but I’m sure they could come up with a way for it to happen. Plot Device Fairy to the rescue. 😛
