Now with Frozen out in theaters, we have yet another Disney fairy tale film in the mix. Frozen is based on Hans Christian Andersen’s The Snow Queen, though it is a pretty loose adaptation. Adam tweeted that he saw and loved the film, which brings me to this topic. Would you want to see Once give their own take on Frozen’s characters? I definitely think there’s some possibilities. For one, I think if Once were to include Narnia as a realm (there was a door with a wardrobe in Jefferson’s hat), they could have Elsa take the place of the White Witch, which was inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s The Snow Queen to begin with.

Agreed. Too new. People don’t have the same emotional attachment to this movie yet. If they brought in the newer Disney things, people would probably prefer it to be Tangled or Brave or the Princess and the Frog.
Not saying A and E can’t do as they please and bring in whatever they want, but I don’t think they’ll do it for mass appeal because of Frozen’s newness.

I said that when I first saw the commercial 😛 they would totally mix those things together if the could, however i heard the rights to Narnia are very difficult to get.

I think it’s a bit too new for them to do it but not sure. It is a very loose adaptation so they could still use the Snow Queen as something possibly but I doubt they would because it is so recent.
As for other things – they’ve put in lots of nods to various things to show us that those worlds all exist but it doesn’t mean they’d get the rights to actually use it. Pretty sure we won’t be able to see Narnia, but it’s awesome that we get nods like that to it.

I think they could do a nod and name check Elsa and a frozen world in an epiode when the DVD comes out in the spring maybe if the timing works.
