i think itll be half and half. The first half will have them be in their new cursed personas with Henry trying to get them to remember who they are and break the curse, etc, and the second half will see it broken and e veryone kicking it into high gear to defeat whatever villain is around town. I think the epic quest is the present day stuff. Or else be set in the time before Lucy was born to explain how all this ended up the way it did.
The half and half idea is perfect. Hopefully 7A focusing on catching us up on Henry’s life via flashback, while Lucy works to get her dad to believe again. And 7B, renewed believer Henry working with Lucy to break whatever curse has been cast.

The ratings would have to be extremely low (like .4) and even then ABC didn’t pull American Crime with it’s .3/.4 because they needed to have *something* there. And ABC has fairly loyal to OUAT. They’ll let it play out. I wouldn’t say no to them reshuffling possibly, though it’ll be HARD to find a place with A.I. going to Sundays.
Not to mention, Fridays are a low priority night. Aside from Saturday, it’s the least viewed night of the entire week. I imagine ABC is fine with their lower rated genre shows like OUAT and AoS airing on Fridays no matter what, at least for this upcoming Season. They are more concerned about fixing the rest of the week, including OUAT’s former Sunday home. However, if there were to be some sort of consequence due to ratings being too low even for Fridays, ABC could technically cut the episode order down. I don’t think they would cut the episode order either, though, when one of the main reasons for the renewal was because of their deal with Netflix. Plus, I haven’t really heard of veteran shows having their episode order cut like that.

Nobody wants to see this curse drag out especially when 3 characters are away from their true loves and families. I prefer Henry, Hook, Rumple, and Regina wake up in a couple of episodes then it’s about breaking the curse and making everyone believe again until the 2nd half where it’s about getting back to SB and that’s probably when a lot of our familiar characters will start returning and I do think JMO and the others will be in more than just one episode.

Agreed.
To be honest I can’t see how they’re going to make season 7 work without it seeming like a rehash of season 1. Are they going to have another magic town? I dislike Lucy’s attire in the finale because it was essentially Henry’s outfit in the Pilot and all they’ve done is done a gender-swapped version of Emma and Henry. We have no idea why Henry has left Storybrooke, how do Rumple, Hook and Regina fit in if the action takes place away from Storybrooke? If the season 7 finale was the last ever episode of OUAT then that would be the perfect time to get the entire cast back. I can see them explaining Snowing, Belle and Zelena’s absences as they’re back in Storybrooke looking after the babies whilst Rumple, Regina and Hook were sent to help Henry, but how are they going to explain Emma’s absence?

Probably they’ll explain Emma’s absence the same way they’ll explain the Charmings and Zelena. She’s in Storybrooke cause she was outside the reach of the curse.

But Rumple, Regina and Hook would’ve been inside Storybrooke. Rumple especially wouldn’t have any reason to leave considering Belle and Gideon are there. I wonder if they’re going to have Emma have a terrible accident so she can’t travel and use the babies as an excuse to keep Belle, Snowing and Zelena out of the way which leaves Regina, Rumple and Hook to travel to Henry.
Imagine Rumple, Regina and Hook stuck in a car on a road trip across America lol.

Keeper of FelixMay 24, 2017 at 7:02 pm #339232TheWatcherParticipantRegina’s curse reached through realms to bring specific people she wanted.
I wouldn’t be surprised if this curses’s caster did the same, and he/she has a personal vendetta against Hook, Rump, and Regina (who doesn’t afterall?) and used the curse to bring them all there even if the ywere in storybrook.

A&E are indeed capable of writing a compelling, focused story with a beginning, middle, and end as evidenced by OUAT in Wonderland. They also did this in S1 and 3A for example, in my opinion. Hopefully A&E realize this season could very well be their last, so they may be more likely to have the right storytelling we’ve seen from them before. This is a major potential positive for S7 in my opinion.
