This is also supposed to be a family’s show, I don’t quite think Disney would allow them to kill off the kid … Then again, since the very beginning people died in the Disney movies, so who knows.

Personally, I agree with you sjm and slurrpez and whoever else it was that had the idea (so many people in so many different threads). I think Henry either intentionally or unintentionally is poisoned (or anything similar, falls sick, whatever) and that’ll be Emma’s wake up call.

Have you seen Disney’s Pinocchio? They show the kid face down in water? Beauty and The Beast? Dude gets stabbed! Lion King! “Dad get up” I don’t think Disney’s above letting a kid a die lol

Well, that’s what I meant with people died since the very beginning in Disney pictures. 😉 But still, he may die temporarily, but he won’t die “for good”.

That’s kind of the reaction we’re suppose to have to whoever dies funny enough. But wow think back on most Disney movies something takes a dirt nap! You want to cry put on some old Disney movies!

So true. As a kid I always hated the mother scene in Dumbo (she doesn’t die, but it’s soooo sad) and the mother being shot in Bambi.

Which scene was that? For me it was the one where she’s in the cage rocking little Dumbo that song soooo sad! You know what freaked me out before the mother scene is when the bird gets shot right before; She’s all “I can’t wait any longer!” BANG!!! The worst one though wasn’t a death either but In Fox and the Hound when the lady abandons Todd in the woods? He was so happy the whole ride there then she just leaves him!

Is Dumbo outside the cage and she rocks him on her trunk (is that the right word?)? If so, then that’s actually the scene I mean.
I honestly don’t remember Fox and the Hound … Have to watch that one again sometime.

Yes that’s the one, the song is called “Baby Mine,” Fox & the hound is one of my favorites, but it does have that scene & a Bambiesque scene to start the movie.

They just can’t kill Henry. He is too important to Emma’s character. I just don’t think that Emma could go back to a sane rational i want to help these people place if Henry gets killed. And if Emma believes because Henry gets killed doesn’t it all just descend into violence. I just don’t know how they get back from that.

I agree with some of the others that Henry dies intentionally trying to get Emma to stay and use magic to save him…I think she is able to so his death doesn’t stick and he comes back to life…by then Emma totally believes…and everyone remembers…at least I hope it is something like that…

I can’t even hear the title “Fox and the Hound” without getting choked up. I watched it as a kid and i haven’t seen it since… but I remember how much I cried, and I know I will still cry just as much now. I am all for the ‘Henry dies temporarily’ theory, he would absolutely do something that drastic to make his point. We have seen him do a lot of drastic things in the past to prove a point – running into collapsing mines, leaving Storybrook to get Emma, things like that. If Emma can bring Henry back to life with a mothers love, I think she will be more inclined to listen to him.
