the goal of the curse was to provide a place for Regina where she could have her happy ending… everyone that would prevent her from that goal or not help her reach that goal (or enjoy watching them fall) would not be transported.
Her mother robbed her of a happy ending in FTL but she is still a mother… something tells me regina does not have it in her to kill Cora.
[adrotate group="5"]I hope Regina didn’t kill her mother. That would be sad. 🙁 And I agree, Cora was incredibly abusive, but family is family. Absused children tend to have a odd attachment to their abusive parents. Sad, but true. 🙁
But then again, she did kill her father, so it’s anyone’s guess. 😕
I think that Cora must be alive & that Regina must have cursed her really badly (or at least tried to); because when Regina “saved” Charming from been executed by King George, she said something about making him suffer instead of giving him a quick death.
What I am VERY curious about from the promo are the scenes of a very young looking Regina with 2 unknown guys. I think one of them looks like Jefferson & the other seems to be carrying some kind of doctor bag or something. I read from another post that some people think that the other guy may be Dr. Frankenstein because of the scene with a tent & lightning striking or something. The guys also appear with Rumple in another shot. There’s also a scene of Regina kissing Daniel in the promo, so maybe Dr. Frankenstein’s trying to revive him… I am SO looking forward for the Regina/Cora episode(s)!!!
Re the guys running from Rumplestiltksin: the one on the left is Dr. Whale’s counterpart (Dr. Frankenstein perhaps) and the other is Jefferson. Interesting! Noah Bean is coming back in 2×5 so I think we’ll indeed see Frankenstein performing some sort of experiments on Daniel’s body. Creepy but so captivating.

Although the theory of Whale being Frankenstein is beginning to look more likely, I am still not entirely convinced. Whale’s line to Charming “You’re not my Prince” doesn’t fit in with Frankenstein although perhaps Whale meant that because he doesn’t have a prince to answer to he’s not going to start answering to Charming. We know Whale is from another world, he appears to be an associate of Jefferson and they both seem to be fleeing from Rumple.
Regina’s comments to Jefferson in Hat Trick about his state of living suggest that these scenes with Jefferson and a young Regina happen before Jefferson stops using his hat which Charming crushed in Broken 😆

I think Cora is ruling whatever is left of the Enchanted Forest. I do wonder how Snow will react to her and whether she’ll know she’s evil or not. We know Cora is evil, but would Snow recognize it or think she’s an ally?
I’m thinking more and more Dr. Whale is Dr. Frankenstein. His episode is the one where they’re celebrating Halloween in Storybrooke, so it seems to fit that he’d be some kind of horror-connected character.

Yeah, this season is giving a little bit of “creepy feeling” with that wraith & now those scenes in the promo. I have to admit that I like it tho! 🙂
I agree that Cora may be ruling what’s left of FTL. Snow knows Cora is (or at least was) evil. In the episode “Apple as red as blood” (s1 e22), Regina explains the truth about Daniel to Snow including that Cora ripped his heart out because of her. But it’s possible that Cora could be the one that helps them return to SB. Who knows, maybe Cora was able to become “human” at some point after Regina did whatever she did to her (will be shown in the next episode). Btw, here’s wikipedia’s description of the next episode:

The scene of the tent is from Ep 2 though isn’t it. I mean you can see someone that looks like the young Regina wearing that same outfit which means that is from Ep 2. We don’t find out who Whale is till Ep 5. I don’t think that is Frankenstein.

Oh if one of those guys is Jefferson then the other is definitely Dr. Whale! I’m sitting on the Dr. Frankenstein theory too but I’m just waiting on us to get misdirected again.
