I just posted about this in another thread too, but regarding the scenes with Cora, Snow and Emma…would they show us present day FTL as well as FTL flashbacks in the one ep? Because YoungRegina and YoungSnow wouldn’t be in present day FTL, but we know they’re in the ep, so there must be flashbacks to that time. Could Snow and Emma time travel back to then and meet Cora? Or will we have present day AND flashbacks, all set in FTL in this ep? Couldn’t that potentially get confusing?
Though I guess Regina’s mother being in part of FTL when the curse hit might explain why part of it survived. Maybe she alone could produce a barrier to it, considering it was her daughter who cast it.
I’m super excited to see Dr Whale in FTL! So he most definitely WAS a doctor there too. Between that and them seemingly walking down into a crypt type environment, and then the scene with the tent and the lightening…I’m starting to think Team Frankie might be onto a winner. So cool to see he has a history with Jefferson!
Words cannot express how excited I was to see Hook in this! SQUEEEEE! 😀

Also, Rumpel surprised me in that promo. He asks Charming what happens when someone crosses the SB boarder and seemed dismayed by Charming’s reply that you lose your memories of your old life. Didn’t Rumpel know what would happen, and wasn’t he planning a trip? In 1×21 he said to Regina, “we all know what happens when you try to leave SB” but then didn’t say what actually happens. Was he bluffing or did he not know exactly and was testing Regina? I don’t know.
I think that what used to happen when you tried to leave SB is different to what happens now. When the curse was in place, I think something physically bad would happen to you, so Rumple probably thought that once the curse was lifted, that barrier would no longer exist. The fact that it now wipes your memory clean is a new development he hadn’t been expecting.

So i think that Cora is in fairytale land before curse and in fairytale land present, but not in Storybrooke. It shouldn’t get too confusing as long as Mulan and Aurora don’t show up in fairytale land pre curse which they so could. And also there will be young Snow and young Regina there, so i think that we will be able to tell the difference.
Also i don’t think that anyone that is in fairytale land present, where Emma and Snow are, can also be in Storybrooke. Not until they figure out how to realm jump again.

Yeah its pretty much been confirmed we now have 3 timelines now- per-curse FTL, Post curse FTL & post curse SB 🙂

That’s an interesting thought, Phee. Rumpel/Mr. Gold must’ve thought that with the curse broken, he’d be able to leave town and go looking for Bae. Maybe introducing magic to our world actually had unintended consequences that even the maestro, Rumpel, didn’t foresee of making people lose all memory of their past life. I really want to know why he brought magic to our world though. Does he need magic to find Bae?
We know bad things happened when cursed characters like Ruby and Ashley tried to leave SB before Emma broke the curse. Ruby came back because Granny had a heart attack and Ashley went into labor. Yet, we didn’t actually see what happened if they physically crossed the boundary, except maybe one time. I’m wondering exactly what happened to David Nolan back in episode 1×16 (I think it was), when he was in the woods looking for Kathryn. Mary Margaret found him in a dazed-like state in which he didn’t seem to remember who he was or where he was, and then Ruby located him passed out. It’s like he was suffering the consequences of the dark curse, which Dr. Whale said was similar to when he’d just woken up from his comma. He seemed to lose his false SB memories while having some recall of FTL, but it was just a temporary black-out. He regained them soon after.

What I’m thinking is maybe they could have indeed left SB when the magical curse broke but Gold had to go release magic into SB which then snapped the boarder back into place, as magic doesn’t naturally exist here.
So to stop magic infecting the rest of reality it is removed from anyone who now crosses the border into our world- you can leave at any time IF you don’t mind no longer being a magical being 😉October 7, 2012 at 2:20 pm #155821PheeParticipant@slurpeez108 wrote:

All magic comes with a price, dearie. Dude shoulda listened to his own advice before bringing the magic back. 😉
October 8, 2012 at 2:24 am #155948SlurpeezParticipantGreat point, Phee! Maybe being trapped in SB is the prince Mr. Gold must pay for brining magic here.

October 9, 2012 at 4:53 pm #156206youfoundmeParticipantYa it is definitely Cora. Im thinking in this next episode, Snow is going to still be knocked out for a while and Cora is going to try to manipulate Emma (because Emma doesn’t know who she is). Then Snow is going to wake up and go “aww hell nawww” and get Emma away from her.
October 9, 2012 at 5:24 pm #156209zlfh4ParticipantI would love to see that..
