I was thinking that it might be possible that Regina was Rumple’s child but I don’t think she is, at least not after seeing the 10 minute preview yesterday. Lana Parrilla is Hispanic which is why Regina has that beautiful light tan and the guy they got to play young Prince Henry looks Hispanic too, he also has an awesome tan. You know how good they are at casting so that the families have some sort of similarities. Like they did with Ginnifer Goodwin and Jennifer Morrison with the similar chins or like little Henry and Rumple because now that it was revealed that he is his grandson you can see a lot of similarities not only in appearance but in the way they act. Though if he did have a relationship with Cora it will break my heart if Rumple is the one to get his heart broken, god hasn’t he gone through enough 😥
Then again Mr. Gold also has kind of tan too doesn’t he. 🙄 No, I am pretty certain Regina is Henry’s child.

at a glance, I’m going to say that whatever’s happening in this scene, it’s not romantic. it’s the look a father has when he’s giving away his daughter.
Maybe it’s the denial talking, but I agree with this. In that one pic, he’s sitting in front of her, not kneeling to propose. There’s another pic of him sitting in the chair, so my guess is that’s how he pops into the room. Then she walks over and takes his hands and they have a, “Thank you so much for making this happen,” “Oh, my pleasure, dearie, you’re gonna rock this kingdom, my little apprentice,” type exchange.
Also, that pic of Charming, Nealfire and Emma with swords at the ready is made of awesome! Not convinced that’s a wand Emma’s holding to Regina’s throat, I think it might just be the nearest pointy object she could grab to threaten her with, to hold her back from going to Cora, who appears to be spelling out (pun) all her machinations and gloating about her victory a bit prematurely.

I’m thinking a) something happens to Henry or b) she has just realized Cora could care less about her and Emma switches into caring mode like she does with Regina constantly. And I think that would happen when Emma threatens to kill Regina and Cora tells her to go ahead cause love is weakness and Regina has served her purpose.

I am a nerd at heart.

Oh I like that! Regina needs that reality check of having her mother toss her aside, just like she did with Hook.

I totally agree. I sincerely hope they don’t go in this direction, but I find it highly plausible that rather than Rumpelstiltskin making a deal with Cora to give him her first born like in the original tale, he wants her first born to be his, as in his child. I could see how a 300+ year old man could easily be lonely and want to fill the gaping hole where his family once was, even if it’s a deranged and twisted version of a family that he eventually realizes doesn’t have any meaning for him.
Cora manipulating him on a relationship level could be another reason why he was so quick to flip out on Belle in Skin Deep, yelling about her motives and how nobody could ever really love him. That scene was a little too extreme if his only traumatic relationship was Milah, which was 300+ years prior.
I really hope this is not where they are going with this. The family tree is looking less like a normal tree and heading backwards like a weeping willow with all the branches braided together.
m(_ _ )mMarch 5, 2013 at 1:44 pm #177288RumplesGirlKeymasterI really don’t think they are going to make Rumple Regina’s father, that family tree is already so messed up. I do think there is a possibility that Cora may lie to Rumple and tell him that Regina is his, but then the truth is reveled in the end and it was only Cora manipulating Rumple because she knows how much he misses his son and it’s “playing on the monsters weaknesses” as he said to Belle in Skin Deep, a line I once thought was just for that situation, but maybe reflected something that happened with another woman, i.e. Cora.

I hope you’re right on this, and on second glance, Rumple just appears to be sitting, rather than nealing down in front of Cora. Yet, I still think Cora and Rumple had a romantic relationship, rather than a platonic, father-daughter dynamic. Rose McGowan, who plays young Cora, has confirmed that she seduces Rumple, so we know there’s going to be some sexual tension between them.
Here is that spoiler:

Thomas: I’ll take some Once Upon a Time spoilers!
In the March 10 episode “The Miller’s Daughter,” Rose McGowan kills it as a young Cora and we get to see how Regina’s evil mother became the power-hungry person she is today. We’ll also see her first meeting with Rumpelstiltskin, which is, in a word, seductive http://www.eonline.com/news/390148/spoiler-chat-scoop-on-revenge-community-hart-of-dixie-once-upon-a-time-and-more@RumplesGirl wrote:

Whether Cora and Rumple’s sexual rendezvous means Rumple is Regina’s birth father remains to be seen. I don’t wish that to be the case, but we might be left questioning Regina’s true parentage by the end of the episode, rather than knowing for sure who her father is.

I think Emma is indeed holding a wand. I read a spoiler recently she and Regina are both going to use magic in the episode(s) coming up.
Regina and Emma Face Off With Magic
It’s all too brief, but it’s still beautiful. A tense moment in “The Miller’s Daughter” sees Emma and Regina go head to head in a magical battle. Emma is only starting to tap into her power, but this short-lived moment is super-charged with possibility. It could be seductive in the sense that Rumple has discovered a desperate soul and seduces her with the possibility of power and wealth.
I think Emma is holding a wand. Jennifer Morrison confirmed recently she and Regina are both going to use magic in the episode(s) coming up. (Sorry, I don’t recall where I read that). I can’t wait!
Was it the same article that said we’d see Henry do something he never has before? Don’t remember where that was though. Emma’s magic doesn’t seem like the type you need a wand to wield from what we’ve seen. She IS the magic wand.
