March 6, 2013 at 11:36 am #177541tanita_morsParticipant‘m guessing we will see cora take her own heart out near the end of the episode. it can be from 2 possible reasons.
she could have been in love with rumple, and on her weeding day she confessed it hoping to get him. he could have said that he doesn’t feel the same way, told her that her love is a weakness and that he wants the deal they struck to be fulfilled. when she refuses to had over regina to him and i guess successes in it because he didn’t get her, he could take revenge on her for it by dethroning the future king henry, leaving cora with nothing, and in her moment of anger she takes her heart out to never be so weak again.
or she loved henry and lead rumple on. when he confesses his love for her and offers her everything (he is the dark one after all), she could have laughed in his face, called him weak and told him that no one could every love a man like him. she had all she wanted, a prince, wealth and child. when she played him for regina, again rumple may act like a lover scorned and take it all from her – henry’s title, wealth and social standing – all she ever wanted. in that moment, she would hate herself for her weakness in loving henry and regina, and take her heart out so it would never happen again.
i think cora is surely going to bite it and the end of the episode, and it will be either snow or regina who will kill her. for me, regina will be the more logical choice. she is capable, the one most wronged by cora, finally realizing just how manipulated she was and that what her mother feels for her is not the love a person has for their child, it will be to ultimatly protect henry, not to mention it will be a full circle moment with her taking the lives of both her parents.
man, this episode is going to be chilling.
March 6, 2013 at 12:16 pm #177547tanita_morsParticipantmaybe snow finds regina’s heart in the vault instead of cora’s and having it in her possession, orders regina to kill her mother. not only is it twisted and amoral in a way,it has snow going dark without her actually doing the killing, not to mention that no matter the hate and disappointment regina has about snow, that would put a new, probably unsurpassable wadge in their relationship.
but maybe this theory is a bit much for a family show.

March 6, 2013 at 1:53 pm #177561RumplesGirlKeymasterSince Rose McGowen has confirmed that a return of young Cora is in the works for S3, my question is where does this episode leave her story? Before or after heart plucking? I think we’ll see a young Cora, having just lost her kingdom after she crushed Rumple’s heart, take out her own heart and lock it in a box. The S3 episode with young Cora could be her attempts to get power back; I’m inclined to think that she’s been making alliances with leaders in other lands. She did tell Hook she had been to many lands.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"March 6, 2013 at 3:12 pm #177573tanita_morsParticipantwell, it will be either as you said, after the heart plucking or maybe during her apprenticeship with rumple. we don’t know if she was maybe already familiar with him and then she decided to pursue prince henry, or how long her engagement to him lasted. i’m thinking she and rumple knew each other for quite some time before their falling out – because you don’t become swarn enemy with someone like that over night and just one thing. i find it logical that if she does come back in season 3, it will be connected to rumple or regina, or possibly a new major character, but most likely rumple at this point – maybe they will leave the exposition on the baby regina deal for later.

The only problem I see with your theory, even if I like it, it’s that in the pictures Cora look really enamored with Rumpel. It’s in the look she give him. So I fear now that Rumpel will be the one to break her heart, hence why she is evil now. Too bad really, I would much more prefer the other way round personally.
March 6, 2013 at 3:24 pm #177576angiebelleParticipantGreat photos! I can’t wait to see this episode. I love the picture with all of them protecting Mr. Gold (I assume) with the swords. I’m so eager to learn the truth between Rumple and Cora. What exactly was their relationship? Were they both is love? What one in love and the other not? Who betrayed whom?
March 6, 2013 at 5:40 pm #177622SlurpeezParticipantHere’re some more BTS photos from this episode of Cora attending a royal masquerade ball at King Xavier’s court. It also appears like Princess Eva and Prince Henry are in attendance. http://storybrooke.net/photos/thumbnails.php?album=310
Young Cora meets Prince Henry
Cora meets the king
Princess Eva stands beside the king’s throne, which makes me think she is the daughter of King Xavier and sister of Prince Henry.
After Cora boasts of her ability to spin straw into gold, the king remarks that if true, she may marry her son.
Princess Eva stands by, looking amused by the notion that a prince could ever marry a commoner.
Cora attempts to spin straw into gold.
Seeing as Cora successfully spins straw into gold, I think she must’ve made a deal with Rumple before she attended the ball. He must’ve been teaching her magic already."That’s how you know you’ve really got a home. When you leave it, there’s this feeling that you can’t shake. You just miss it." Neal Cassidy
