1) That red dress is awesome.
2) With regards to Eva: being Henry’s sister makes sense, except when Henry loses his throne, Eva doesn’t step in to help, and her husband, Leopold, doesn’t seem to recognize Henry or Cora. Which I think is problematic. I think Eva might Henry’s intended bride, until Cora steps in (and I think there’s a history with Cora and Eva)
3) If he’s teaching her magic before the ball happens, then how does she summon him? Or does he seek her out? Does he prompt her to want to marry the Prince (thus manipulating Cora and this situation in order to get Regina), or does she somehow get Rumple to her and make the deal.GAH.

Yeah that could be too. Except that maybe when Henry married Cora, Eva wanted nothing more to do with her brother. Maybe she was so angry he took Cora for his wife that she never helped him or allowed Leopold to meet her brother or sister-in-law.

This is totally possible. I think it’s one or the other for sure. Cora did seem to have a particular hatred for Eva, beyond just “you’re Queen and I’m not.” Perhaps after Henry and Cora lose the kingdom, she and Henry expect Eva to come to their rescue, but Eva flatly denies to help, once again saying that Cora isn’t worthy of her help because she’s the Miller’s Daughter. (except does that really fit with how they portrayed Evan in The Queen is Dead, all subjects should be loved…?)

It would certainly be out of character for the version of the mature and compassionate Queen Eva we met. However, she may have once been nasty, spoiled, vain, and thought herself higher-born than everyone else. Something must have happened to Eva between The Miller’s Daughter and The Queen is Dead to transform her from a young spoiled princess into a mature, wise queen we met. Yet, perhaps Eva never reconciled with her brother because Cora didn’t allow it. I can imagine how controlling, manipulative and domineering Cora probably was to her husband, Henry Sr. He was afraid to confront his own wife to save his daughter in 1×18. By then she was a wicked sorceress who could have killed him and Regina if she was having an off day.

Seeing as Cora successfully spins straw into gold, I think she must’ve made a deal with Rumple before she attended the ball. He must’ve been teaching her magic already.
Yep. Interesting twist to have her spin the straw right there in front of everyone, but it fits with what Henry Sr has said about her having known Rumple before she knew him.

Yes, it does.
Also, the clip of Eva and Cora confirms that Eva was just a guest (and potential rival wife) for Prince Henry. Awkward.

March 7, 2013 at 1:45 pm #177862RumplesGirlKeymasterIn the sneak peak of Rumple and Cora, Cora tells Rumple that she’s 5th in line to be Queen (I am hearing that correctly, yes?). Who stands in between her? She said it would be a lot of bloodshed. If Henry Sr is the 5th son, who are the other 4? Slurpeez, you may be right that George is perhaps one (if not the heir), making Regina his niece.

Yes, Henry and George could be brothers! That would make a lot of sense why Cora poisoned George’s wife to be barren! Cora didn’t want him to have an heir, which would make her even less likely to become queen one day.

Also, if Rumple’s goal is to keep Cora off the throne after she goes back on her deal with him, then he was only too happy to get James (and then David) for George to ensure he had an heir.
