Yeah that could be too. Except that maybe when Henry married Cora, Eva wanted nothing more to do with her brother. Maybe she was so angry he took Cora for his wife that she never helped him or allowed Leopold to meet her brother or sister-in-law.
This is totally possible. I think it’s one or the other for sure. Cora did seem to have a particular hatred for Eva, beyond just “you’re Queen and I’m not.” Perhaps after Henry and Cora lose the kingdom, she and Henry expect Eva to come to their rescue, but Eva flatly denies to help, once again saying that Cora isn’t worthy of her help because she’s the Miller’s Daughter. (except does that really fit with how they portrayed Evan in The Queen is Dead, all subjects should be loved…?)
I’m betting Eva finds out about Cora’s deception and using dark magic and that’s why Cora and Henry Sr. lose everything.

Love this idea. Young Eva seems like she may have been the type to take great pleasure in exposing Cora’s deeds, and perhaps that led to Cora and Henry being completely excommunicated. That right there would be plenty of motivation for Cora to kill Eva and set up Regina to become royalty.

Would take away all her power and since that is all that matters she would defiantly have all reason to ruin everything in Eva’s life that matters to her

So, something, like Rumple putting a protection spell on the crown prince (George maybe) must’ve prevented Cora’s plan of making her husband king. Yet, it’s still entirely possible that Cora cursed Geroge’s wife, the queen, to be unable to have any children, which is why Rumple found James for Geroge to adopt and pass off as his own son.

Agreed. Makes me wonder if their original deal was for Rumple to get rid of the other heirs to the throne in exchange for Regina. And is it just Cora refusing to give up Regina that caused Rumple to ensure Cora would never have the throne? My gut says no.
Also, clearly something else happens Henry Sr and Cora aren’t living as royalty. Did the heir (George?) find out about Cora’s dealings with Rumple and send her and Henry into exile?"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"March 8, 2013 at 2:24 pm #178196SlurpeezParticipant@RumplesGirl wrote:

Not all of Queen Elizabeth’s children live in castles. Some probably just live in mansions.
