Imagine you’re George Darling. Imagine you’re returning home and you see a shadow flying outside your children’s window. Imagine you see this shadow taking away all of your children, which you never see again because they’re having the time of their lives in Neverland. Suddenly it’s not so hard to believe he’d come to hate magic, isn’t it?
My confusion isn’t how could George hate magic, since I could see that being the case if NL turns out to be dark. But I just don’t see how eradicating magic in this land would impact magic in NL. Also, George Darling would presumably have no means to retrieve his kids from NL. In order to get there and rescue them, George himself would need to use magic, not eradicate it.

Interesting idea. Doesn’t Peter Pan have some sort of instrument that he plays as well? This show has combined characters before so it’s not beyond the realms of possibility that the two could be the same person. Maybe the children are lured to Neverland by Pan’s shadow playing the instrument.
All magic comes with a price!

That would be super creepy! Peter Pan does have a musical pipe he plays upon. Pipe….piper….
