Oh yeah, I loved that scene too. I was also fascinated by how Emma wasn’t the least bit afraid or angry at Mr. Gold. And it looks like that sentiment is going to hold. In the promo for next week’s episode, Gold is seen telling Emma about Baelfire.
Yet another example of the Charming family being nice to Rumpel and not Regina. 😆

Despite how crammed it is, I think this is one of the strongest episodes this season so far. First off, glad both Snow White and Emma are back in Storybrooke. 🙂 I’m am gonna miss Princess Aurora and Mulan–hope we will see them again. It is great how they are both going off to find Philip together.
Loved how Snow White kissed him awake and how she was able to use the magic. Her fight with Cora was awesome and well done, too.
Loved Emma in this episode. 😀 We see more of her insecurities–she knows she is the savior, and yet she feels helpless and does not know how to embrace her role. Her fight with Captain Hook was awesome–the fight secnes between the two of them were awesome, and I loved how she knocked him out. 😀
Rumpelstiltskin still annoys me–I know he is popular, but not only do I think he is overrated, I think he is a jerk. I already found it silly when Belle said that it would take a while for people to warm up to him when he is a murderer and a manipulator. But his little lines to Regina were a bit harsh.
Also, I think the whole built of of sympathy for Regina is ridiculous. She has killed and tortured and imprisoned people and yet we are meant to feel for her. I know she helped Snow White and Emma and that is great, but that won’t make her friends with everyone in town right away. Henry already showed her how he is starting to trust and believe in her by staying with her more and with the hug he gave her. And yet he and everyone are horrible when they do not invite her to dinner.
Wow, and I thought I was the only one in this universe that really doesn’t care for Rumpel. Thumbs up! But, I do like Regina, and I am interested in what goes on from here. I didn’t like how Henry treated her at the end as well, but, it’s a good storyline to keep the plot thick. Kids can be dumb, and don’t realize their actions can have an effect on adults. Snow did it herself when she was a girl with Regina, and it looks like her grandson will repeat history.

Yes, I’ve noticed that too. Even though Regina helped Snow and Emma, they were still pretty stand off-ish. That just feeds into my argument that the Charmings are always going to trust Gold over Regina. Gold didn’t target the Charmings for an act of revenge like Regina did. So yeah, they’re going to have a little more faith in Gold instead of Regina.
December 3, 2012 at 3:53 am #163361cherishParticipantSorry, but I’m not going to blame Snow or Henry for the way they treated Regina. I know some people like to pretend to forget this, but Regina nearly killed every single person in the Charming family. So leaving her out of their dinner plans is the least she deserves.

December 3, 2012 at 4:03 am #163367Daniel J. LewisKeymasterMy absolute favorite moment – Emma fighting off Cora with her magic. I also loved the scene between her and Mr. Gold. I’m glad that she’s realizing that she’s a badass in her own right. And I REALLY love that Mr. Gold of all people was the person who helped her realize that.
My absolute least favorite moment – Cora almost killing Hook. Not my baby! And I also hated seeing Hook slap Belle. She’s the sweetest girl on the show and she’s constantly getting treated like a rag doll. 😥

Seriously it’s like people forget Regina has done A LOT to this family they are not going to forgive her quickly she still has a long way to go..
Fav moment: Tie between the Hook/Emma swordfight and Charming Family reunion (from the moment they get out of the well to when they are walking outside)
Least fav: Rumple being all I don’t care about Killing Emma/Snow

Exactly.
December 3, 2012 at 4:15 am #163377an empty heartParticipantYeah, I’m not going to fault Henry for leaving Regina out. She tried to kill his entire family. The fact that he’s giving her a second chance is more than she deserves right now.
December 3, 2012 at 4:18 am #163380evilqueenParticipantBut it does contradict to what ‘the good’ does. The good ‘forgives’. Regina has truly proven she’s honestly trying to redeem herself, she risked everything by taking the spell of the portal and that means a lot for a development of a character who’s been acting so selfishly throughout her entire life. There is zero encouragement or gratitude from Snow or Emma and even Henry seems like he doesn’t really care. Then there are those stabbing words from Rumple. That way Regina could be emotionally turned back to the time when she cast the curse in the first place – because people don’t really give her a chance. I’m not saying they should’ve invited her for a dinner (she would probably turn it down anyway) – but it just seemed that everyone simply ignored the fact that she saved their lives – everyone always notices the bad that she does but they don’t really care when she finally does something good – I mean, can’t they seriously notice a big change coming for her and that it’s rather important and that it would be better for everyone to keep her on their side?
