Does that then also classify A and B as ‘bad’ or where they right not too help, because they had been hurt by C ?
That’s not the original question you asked though. You asked if they would be just as bad. And no, they wouldn’t be. Would it be wrong, morally, to stand by and do nothing when you can? Yes.
Which is why the “good guys” always choose not to stand by. Because it would be morally wrong.

edit: Like I had said originally, they would have been guilty of just standing by. But to actually say to stand by IS THE EXACT SAME CRIME as actually doing it is so far beyond incorrect I can’t express proper words for it. (edit: IMO of course)
I’m not saying that they should resieve the same punishment in the legal system, if we should take it there, the law should differentiate between the two I agree.
But morally I actually do believe, it is exactly the same to stand by and watch a bad thing happen if you KNOW FOR A FACT you can stop it, as it is too be holding ‘the murder weapon…December 5, 2012 at 9:53 pm #163843an empty heartParticipantGuys, please do not engage in this imaginary debate. 😆 The Charmings saved Regina in the end, and that’s all that matters.

THAT IS the same question !!!!???
How do you mean it’s not?December 5, 2012 at 9:56 pm #163847GrimmsisterParticipant@An Empty Heart wrote:

Why not.. If we find it interesting ??
I’m not. I will point out again.. Judging anybodys opinions. All views are very welcome.. 😀December 5, 2012 at 9:57 pm #163849schmackyParticipantYeah, legally and morally, I highly disagree that they’re the same thing.
Choosing to do harm on someone either through your own device or another (hiring someone, etc) is not the same thing as choosing not to stand in the way for whatever reason (fear, retribution, karma, etc).
Both wrong. No doubt. But not the same. Not even close. No.
There are varying degrees IMO of being a bystander. It depends on the situation. If you step in, are you putting yourself in danger? If you are, that needs to be considered where it’s just not a question of morals but personal safety. If you aren’t in danger, then obviously .. that’s not the case.
Let’s take the wraith situation for example. By helping Regina, Emma and her parents put themselves in danger for Regina. They could have gotten killed, they could have gotten hurt, they could have gotten sucked into another portal (oh wait..). If they had chose not to help Regina, it would be understandable because they had to take their own safety into consideration.
The mob is a different situation IMO. By intervening with the mob I don’t believe they thought they would be putting themselves into danger. To not step in at that moment would have been worse because they would have chosen to assist not because of their own safety, but because they simply chose not to.
How do you mean it’s not?
Question 1: Are they just as bad?
Question 2: Are they bad?See the difference?

Yes!
But then the difference is I’m thinking morally and not legally.
Morally are there a difference between bad-just as bad ? how doo you judge how bad ‘just as bad’ is???
I for sure don’t know.December 5, 2012 at 10:13 pm #163853schmackyParticipantI never answered my questions on a legal viewpoint. So, I’ve already answered your questions.
