WHAT are your theories on how survives in our world? Where would he live, get around, protect himself? We saw him get off a bus and to me he seem pretty much confident and getting around okay… do you have any guesses on how he functioned?

I have some ideas and will be posting in the future.
.[adrotate group="5"]First theory, he takes over Neal’s apartment (which we saw had lasted a year untouched when Emma went back to it on Hook’s suggestion).
Second theory, he sells off bits of whatever he had on him. He may even be able to draw from his Storybrooke ATM account, though he was looking pretty scruffy. (Which further supports the idea he’s been selling off cuff links etc to survive.)
Third theory, he’s been broke before and survived…he could do it again. He had soldier training, he’s smart, and he has knowledge from at least a couple hundred years’ living in multiple realms to support himself with.
Fourth theory…he’s up to his trading games with people in the Land Without Magic. He’s good at that…so maybe he traded his cuff links for some money, and then a bit of knowledge overheard for some information, etc etc until he found Ursula…

Well Rump has SOME knowledge of our world. He was still regular old Mr. Gold for about 28 years who had no memory of who he was until he heard Emma’s name. So the only real problem he could face is money since he can’t conjure up any or soon any gold. Plus he can’t steal with his limp. I’m just going to assume that since Gold is a very wealthy man, he still has some cash and credit cards on him that are valid. He was planning to leave SB so I think his wallet should be readily prepared. He could be living at Neal’s place too. We have to remember Gold was already planning to leave SB, just not alone, so he had to have some plan.

I think since he was planning to leave Storybrooke he pre-planned and open multiple bank and stock accounts and is very rich. The only takes the bus because he is planning to go back to STORYBROOKE and does not want to get a car. Easier to take a bus then to maneuver with a car. He used his money to get INFORMATION … as always information equals power and gold to Rumple.

Tamara lived in our world with Neal. But, in her travels to Tibet, or wherever she was when she met August, she met that guy who turned into the dragon. So, I’d say our world certainly has some sorts of magic.
If there’s magic to be found in our world Rumple will find it and use it to his advantage.

Wendy’s London wasn’t fictional. She was from our world. Alice was from fictional London which we don’t know whether that place had magic or not.

It was said in show. The rabbit couldn’t get Will from Storybrooke before season 2 because there was no magic there, once the magic was there, he could go.
In regards to Gold getting by, I found this gif on tumblr that shows Gold still has his wedding ring even though he is without other stuff such as cuff links. So I agree Rumple probably sold what ever he had on him except his wedding ring to get by.
