The king of the Broken Kingdom also met his match tonight. Were you happy to see him go?
[adrotate group="5"]May 9, 2016 at 12:47 am #323056RumplesGirlKeymasterHe makes my skin crawl. However does he really get to elect himself King of the Underworld just to stave off his eventual “bad place” punishment???

But IS he going to the bad place? It seemed to me like his helping Hook was his “Redemption”. Now, i’d like to know how he’s going to possibly over throw Cruella and Blind Witch (they are still trying to take over the place, are they not?) with not even a sword to call himself a king or to fix the place, and its not like he can help people move on (hes neither Hades nor Henry and doesn’t know how to help them) so this all just sounds stupid.
And I hate this character. Like literally every time I see him on screen, his face just makes me cringe. One of the worst written villains on this show and I would be happy to push him into the bad place.

I refuse to accept that one quest = redemption.
Especially for THIS character who is just so….icky."He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"May 9, 2016 at 1:03 am #323067SlurpeezParticipantI think Arthur’s real quest for redemption is just starting. He’s going to set the UW to rights. At least, that is how it sounded. Does that make Arthur the new Lord of the UW?

Yes it does make him the new Lord of the UW. But…like, why should we care? How do we know Arthur’s gonna fix it all up? What if he turns into Hades 2.0? This is such a silly plot line (and I can’t even really call it a plot line because it’s not; it’s a beginning, middle, and end, of the Arthur: King of the Underworld plot and it won’t ever be reexplored).

I can’t rest knowing that man gets any sort of…peace. So I keep the headcanon that Cruella remains Queen of the Underworld and Arthur is just her new “toy” in the playpen! XD

We spent all of 5A running around with Arthur, hating Arthur, wanting Merida to punch Arthur right in his smug face. After all of that, there no moment of satisfaction. His demise was lightning quick, came at another villain’s hands, and he actually seemed content down in the underworld. A lot of set up, no payoff. So pointless.
