So after seeing how deeply Snow missed raising Emma (which was awesome to see), I thought (well actually I’ve thought this many times all through S1 to be honest lol), Snow & Charming are still young, why don’t they just have another kid? I mean it’s not like they cant (as far as we know).
Then I thought of poor Henry & his already messed up family dynamics – what will that make him when his Aunt or Uncle is like 12-15yrs younger than he is lol.
Then explaining to the poor child why their older sister is the same age as Mummy & Daddy 😆
Seriously though, the thing is, I cant see them not having at least one other child unless something drastic happened to them- they are in love after all, They both WANTED to be parents (not really the same thing as having a fully self sufficient 28yr old as your only child) & Charming did say he wanted a boy 😉 Not saying that he isn’t/wasn’t happy with Emma, but Queens & Kings almost always have more than 1 child (even if those children don’t already have children of their own, they do like their back up heirs 😉 )
Doubt we’ll ever see anything like this happen- but I think it would be fantastic if we did, it’s make for some very interesting TV- how many other shows could boast about having done that story line before 😉 😆

At the start of season one, we saw Emma being born in the middle of chaos, and then sent away. Then we get the whole span of however many seasons of the show, where the theme of the Charmings having missed raising their daughter plays out. Then in the end, we could see another child being born, this time in a peaceful environment, with a promising future where the family all get to stay together. Fade to black in the final episode ever, just after Snow has given birth, and on the screen, “And they all lived happily ever after.” 😉

The Charmings already have true love and their family, with Henry to look after. It’s Regina who needs to find true love, and we’ve seen how much she wants a kid (adopting Henry, trying to adopt Hansel and Gretel) and she could say something like wanting to do it right this time, or be a better Mum etc
Remember the enchanted forrest is 2 kingdoms (King George, and Snows/Regina’s) maybe one remains under the charmings control, and Regina is queen of her current one (the people have warmed to her after she redeems herself so don’t mind her) and the 2 kingdoms are allies/friends etc, instead of their hostile relationship at the moment.

If you think too much about it, you’re like, ‘Wait a minute, they’re 18 on screen but Diane was murdered like a year ago and Kyle was 10 then!” 😆
October 18, 2012 at 6:29 pm #157161saimejoxxersParticipantI was thinking of this recently. I heard someone mention that they thought time might re-wind at the end of the show and allow them all to go back and get their happy endings… but I think I like the idea of them having kids rather than really starting over. As much as it would save everyone a lot of hardship, they’ve all learned a lot and grown a lot, and there have been SOME happy moments in there…
And it would seem a shame to lose all that. I don’t think the writers would do it, but I think even if they gave the characters a choice, the characters themselves would say no. I don’t think Emma would want to miss out of 28 years of who she is, even if it saved her a lot of the heartache she went through. I think there will be some reconciliation and certain things will be worked out… but it’s a hard balance between second chances and ‘happy endings’ and the true finality of certain things. I think Once has presented that so far (a lot of people can wake up from seeming-death, true love’s kiss can break any curse… but they’ve also killed people off to show the permanency and finality of things.) With something, there’s no going back. So I like the idea of them starting over without backtracking, if you know what I mean.
Good though! Thanks for sharing.
