I was just thinking about if they did a Rapunzel episode and if it was at all like the movie, i have never read the original story. In the movie Rapunzel is a lost princess that is taken from her parents and returns to them on her 18th birthday. I was just thinking how much that is like Emma’s story. And if they do Rapunzel then it should be an Emma episode and sort of do that after effects of the separation for both the characters.
Just a theory though. The stories just reminded me of each other. It is still really weird to think of Emma as a princess. It is also hard to think about what the show will be next season because just based on what happened at the end of the season everything about the show will be different. I am hoping that we do still get present day in Storybrooke and flashbacks in fairytale and really based on everything we have heard that seems to be the case.
Well and really just based on the fact that Snow and Charming are most likely going to spend next season taking back the kingdom means to me that we will still have present day Storybrooke and flashbacks in fairytale land.
[adrotate group="5"]I don’t think we ever find out what happens to Rapunzel’s original parents in the fairy tale. They just don’t come into the story once agreeing to give their baby to the witch. In that story, they were commoners, not royalty and instead of going on adventures the prince just secretly visits her in the tower until the witch figures him out, tricks him and he’s blinded. Eventually Rapunzel and the prince end up together so she still becomes a princess that way.
I’m certain we’ll still have the two worlds story structure. I don’t think that’ll ever go away for the duration of the series. The special effects limitations alone require that Storybrooke remains.
Rapunzel is one of the few stories where the main character has a kid. In fact, she’s got twins. OMG! Maybe Charming’s mother is Rapunzel, lol! Although, in the fairy tale Rapunzel has a girl and a boy … And Charming’s father truly doesn’t seem to be a prince.
Who knows if they’ll do the story and if they’ll do it, on what they’ll base it on. ^^
