I like the idea that Rumple was there when Bae was and he didn’t know it. However, I am still on the Rumple and PP being brothers idea. Rumple is a coward at heart and he would fear his older brother over anyone else.
Things from our childhood can make us revert back to that point in time. The doll brought Rumple to his knees like a child (I think RG pointed this out) and he was sobbing at the hands of an older, more confident person.

August 22, 2013 at 10:26 pm #206365obisgirlParticipantI think Felix was mocking Rumple when he called him “Dark one” The Dark one is meant to be fearsome and there was poor Rumple sobbing his heart out and not being very dark or fearsome.
Felix must die now because he made Rumple cry.

"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"August 23, 2013 at 7:16 am #206384tiara_roseParticipantThe doll in my opinion belongs in my opinion to Rumple as a boy and it reminds him of a good childhood he had before everything is messing up. When is father leave and he w all alone. For me PP is could be the father of Rumple himself and PP is cursed to not get older and be stucked to be in Neverland. But I wrote this all in another part of this forum and some already told me that it would be crazy to have a father who looks much younger then his son or grandson. Altough I suggest it is true, but before this series I could not believe that Snow White would kill somebody with the hand of the own daughter so it would be not such a hughe surprise if they do something like my theory. But I love also the idea of Peter Pan to be his brother. One is sure for me. HIM have to be family of Charmingstiltskin.
The idea that Rumple was actually also a lost boy, would be a good explination of the time line, which is in the moment for me a little messed up, cause Bae landed in London about 1904, but we know that Rumple is 300 years old. I always thought that the bean was making it, but the bean if for traveling to realm to another and not time jumping as we have seen. So if Rumple was born 300 before and was a lost boy the arriving of Bae would make much more sense, cause Rumple was already by Baes birth a 150 years old and the Gepetto story line is not a such a big gamp anymore. I always wanted to know what he did before he met Gepetto and after he lost Bae.

August 23, 2013 at 8:34 am #206391RumplesGirlKeymasterI (and Keb, our timeline expert) have no explanation for the t-word thing. Why Bae landed in the 1890s I don’t know, when they’ve said no time travel. It just suited the storyline in this case.
As to PP being Rumple’s father, I’m not sure how I feel about this. I think it would be almost comical to have Rumple, who looks 50, and PP, who is being played by a 17yr old, try to have a father/son relationship. I’m not sure it would have the desired effect. I think, given the story of PP, that it is more likely that they are brothers, if related at all.

That could very well be, especially if he knew Rumple to be a coward before becoming the Dark One. I think Felix likes to come across as superior, as I’m betting Peter Pan does, too. Yet, deep down, I get the sense that Felix is a very lost, even insecure boy, and so is PP. He knows how to exploit other people’s weaknesses, because he too suffers from them. Also, that same mentality could be why PP likes to come across as domineering, because of his own insecurity of growing up. He is afraid to grow up, because everyone who grows up eventually has to die.

September 7, 2013 at 5:05 pm #208617HappyEndingsSpectatorDidn’t Bae have a jacket like that one when he went through the porthole to FL?
September 7, 2013 at 5:09 pm #208618PriceofMagicParticipantThe doll is something or symbolises something that Rumple hasn’t “thought about in years”. Bae has been on Rumple’s mind pretty much non-stop since the day he went through the portal in the Return.
