ParticipantI love seeing people’s banners myself…seeing my own helps me find my posts a lot better than just my avi especially in the morning when I’m half asleep.

ParticipantThis is NOT directed at anyone person’s signature / gifs but more in general apparently they eat up a lot of the bandwidth with the server. I asked Daniel a while back if it made a difference as he keeps upgrading the service for more and more cost. He never said one way or the other but he recently had to upgrade… I am not that tech savy enough to know.
BTW I can totally understand how difficult it is to do some of the gifs / banners as I am so tech backwards, but sometimes I just find them annoying but that is because I can be a crabby old lady…. MOST TIMES… 😈 😆 🙄

ParticipantSome websites put a limit on size…Bioware social has a limit…most people there use signature bars or extremely small banners (some artists even make sig bar and banner collections for other people to choose from in support of their favorite characters)…I don’t mind a limit on the size of my banner or even if they are gotten rid of altogether…I just hate having it say somewhere something is available and not be able to use it…and right now this is looking like an error…I would think if there had been a change in signature policy there would have been an announcement…though perhaps one may be coming.

Participantyeah i’m having same issue..It was not possible to determine the dimensions of the image. that’s what i get every time i try to post.. i thought it was my banner size at first too.. ive tried various ones i’ve used on other sites 400×100, 500×150 etc and none worked but glad others have noticed and maybe we can get it fixed 😎

KeymasterThis may be related to a tweak I tried to add for improving the avatars.
But I do need to implement a restriction on signature banner sizes to be no taller than 100 pixels.

I tried to post 3 different images at 4 different sizes all the way down to avatar size and still got nowhere

KeymasterAll right. After trying to get automatic resizing to work, it just won’t. So I disabled that feature, which is what was causing problems for many.
The max is now set to 600 x 100, but I do ask that you try to avoid obnoxious animated GIFs, just for sanity’s sake.
