But later it was not active, and so showed Rumple just fine. Also, Ingrid said something about how “easy” it was for the mirror to “turn” Belle. So it’s not always an instant process.
I did lock on to him later, you’re right. But maybe his status as the Dark One prevents it from doing anything.
Also, anyone think Belle’s reflection was actually telling her lots of truth she didn’t want to hear?
Yup, things she probably has tucked away in the back of her mind all the time, the kind of things we try to avoid thinking about, but they’re still there nonetheless, and the magical mirror drew them out and made her confront them, like a bad dream draws things from our subconscious.
I thought that was what it was it doing too.
Rumple had a reflection when he stood in front of the mirror and tried to get Belle to focus on him. I think the mirror takes all the negative thoughts a person has and then uses them against the person looking in the mirror.
