I have to admit, in an episode where I loved SO MUCH, this really stood out. It’s taken 2.5 seasons but it looks like Regina and Snow are moving on. Deep down, they love each other and understand what each other is going through. The scene in the forest was SO GOOD.
What do you think? Is this the start of something new for Regina and Snow?

Yes! They’ve formed a newfound alliance. Snow is reaching out to her step-mother, making amends, and helping her. They were two grieving mothers who lost their children in one day. I loved that Snow is the one who convinced Regina to keep her heart because that is what Henry would want for Regina. I also loved that Snow was prompting Regina with regards to Robin Hood. That was sweet. 🙂

I think they have really grown–unfortunately, for them I think that Zelena is going to try to mess that up when they get to SB since they don’t have their memories…but I am looking forward to seeing their relationship grow. They reminded me of sisters in this scene and it was nice to see….maybe a Happy Thanksgiving dinner is possible in the future after all. 🙂

Charming was Rumple’s wingman, now Snow is going to be Regina’s. 😆

Yes, even Regina called it “our castle”. She said it with a scowl, but you know that deep down, she’s actually kinda happy that they’re reconciling, or she wouldn’t be saying “our castle” in the first place.

Magic always comes with a price, so I pay with visa.

Yup. all that character development is gone now. They’re back to being sorta stand offish with each other i’d wager

Yes! I loved it. Finally some story progression for these two beyond “you sent me on the run and stole my kingdom” or “you caused my mother to kill my True Love!!”
What is going to be interesting are the flashbacks to the lost year in the EF and how Snow gets the population of the Forest and its surrounding realms, who were terrified of the Evil Queen before, to realise that Regina =/= EQ. Also Regina, no matter how fabulous she looks in her EQ attire, will have to eat some humble pie to work with the Charming Crew.
March 12, 2014 at 9:40 am #252336CindersParticipantTheir scenes together were beautiful. Regina has lost her son, and if anyone knows how to deal with the loss of a child, it’s Snow. They have much to learn from each other still, and much to share.
I liked that Regina still has her snarky guard up when it comes to strangers. She hasn’t totally changed yet. She still puts herself apart from the commoners. She still sees herself as “The Queen”, above the rest, who should be respected and revered, not yet understanding that she has done nothing to earn their respect.
Hopefully traveling with the merry men will help Regina gain some insight into the plight of the common people. I think Regina will learn many things from watching how Snow interacts with The merry men as equals. I think Snow and Robin will teach Regina, by example, that in order for her to grow true friendships, she needs to step down from her pedestal.
Regina is now shifting into Snow’s role from season 1. Someone has taken over her castle, she’s on the outside looking in, living in the forest. She has much to learn from Snow. -
