I am not impress with the new friendship relationship on a couple of issues.
1. In NL Regina stated as she was tied to a tree that she had no remorse or something like that.
2. Regina still has no pity or sympathy for what she did to Snow and Emma. Nor has she or Rumple ever apologized to them in regards to destroying their lives.
3. Regina never consoled Snow on losing Emma and now Henry again. Regina is all about Regina and nothing more in my opinion.

I think the apologies might be coming forthwith. Think about it: Regina in 309 “Save Henry” says that she has no REGRETS because everything she did got her Henry and she can’t regret her son. But that was before all her actions led to her loosing Henry in 3×11 “Going Home.”
So before her actions got her Henry but now her actions have caused her to loose Henry. I think that’s going to plague her and cause her to reevaluate what she did to Snow.

Gotta crawl before you can walk. And the way they were sorta gossiping/giggling over RH (“he’s kinda cute” from Snow) makes me think of 13 yr old girls. It’s all sorts of adorable.
Regina needs to actually have remorse before she can apologize. And seeing that Snow isn’t her mortal enemy will be the start of that.

Granted it took the curse for Snow to know how it feels to lose a child and be overwhelmed with grief that the child doesn’t know who she is. But that shared experience is one they can meet with on an equal footing. The fact that Regina let in her in for a comforting embrace and Snow’s defense of Regina from the monkey show the love she has for Regina and is (in my opinion) desperate to have in return from the only mother figure she has left.

I really loved seeing them getting along and the moments they had in 312, though. It was probably my favorite part of the episode. I think Regina’s sacrifice and choosing to give Emma happy memories shows she has come a long way. It’s not the same as showing remorse, but she acknowledges their was pain in Emma’s life & she can do something to make it better.

If we are to judge by her by actions, she sacrificed the one good thing in her life and everyone was saved as a result. Ultimately her actions during the season 2 finale and season 3 midseason finale show her innate goodness and let’s not forget that the dwarves, Archie, Granny and the rest supported the decision to save Regina by sending the trigger through a portal. They likewise witnessed her sacrifice in cancelling out Pan’s curse. If I were in the shoes of one of the minor characters I would be impressed by this selflessness and sacrifice and would see Regina in a new light.
