I remember the scene in Regina’s office that you are talking about. That’s the scene where Emma tells Regina that she thinks Henry is crazy when Henry is about to walk into her office and when Emma says that Regina knew he was there Regina makes a point of saying that, yes, she knows that every Tuesday at exactly 5:00 Henry comes to her office so they can have dinner before his session with Archie. I think this is one of those things that Kitsis and Horowitz sets us up for. Who really hurt Henry here? Emma was the one who called Henry crazy, but Regina is setting her up based out of the fear she believes she may have over Henry. I think they have done a GREAT job of making it so that nothing is really black or white on this show.

Also the mad hatter, and Rumpel may find a way… cause belle is alive, and the mad hatter did go into the hat at the end of his episode… but Regina lost the stable boy… and then her father… she really has nothing else left!
April 9, 2012 at 4:38 pm #141512miaParticipantWell, she could somehow (in a very far future) make up with Henry, somehow get closer to Emma and thus find happiness there. Right now it does feel inprobable.
April 9, 2012 at 6:24 pm #141539hjbauParticipantWell Red isn’t going to have a happy ending either. And i think it unlikely that Rumpel will.

Why do you think that? Just because she ate her love (RIP Peter), doesn’t mean she’ll never have a happy ending.
April 9, 2012 at 7:05 pm #141550pandoras impParticipantI think Regina is too far gone for a happy ending.
I think she adopted Henry because she was trying to fill an emptiness inside her, and I think she believes she loves him and is trying to love him to the best of her abilities but I don’t think she is capable of truly loving anyone. When she killed her father, she killed any remaining part of her that could love.
April 9, 2012 at 8:13 pm #141571hjbauParticipantOh ok. Well if Red can still have a completely happy ending then so can Regina. Though i think she will be killed at the end of the series.
April 11, 2012 at 11:29 am #141797purrlisseParticipantYes i agree with you on the Red thing… with Regina’s same reasoning, she has all the right to turn vicious and kill everyone for revenge… I mean if Regina blames Snow for giving away the secret, how much worse is it that your grandma knew you were a wolf, kept it from you and because of that you have to live with the regret all your life that you killed your own true love!
and yes… it’s pretty psychotic how she doesn’t just scream and yell at snow (like i would have done) and instead smiles at her and plans her demise in patience. . . . Regina is a darker character than most! there is something deep and dark hidden there… and i feel it’s not just about this daniel dying thing… i don’t know if it’s abuse from her mother, or seeing her father suffer under her mother, but there should be something more to this dark lurking within her… i hope they do give us more!

I think one of the messages of the show is that there isn’t pure evil or pure goodness. I’m surely not defending what Regina has done so far, but we need to learn of the real reason behind it, yet. Yes, she’s evil, but she’s also desperate and lonely, not to mention her affection for Henry (not the healthiest, but it’s there). Pure evil wouldn’t feel anything of the sort. Pure evil doesn’t need a reason for its acts and just does it for the pleasure of doing it. We haven’t seen any of the characters do that so far. They did horrible things, but they always did them because they had a reason. It wasn’t always understandable to us – and it shouldn’t – but they were driven to do them by their emotions, something true evil doesn’t really have.
I like to use Lord Voldemort as an example of pure evil. The guy truly didn’t have any morals, didn’t care for anybody or anything but himself. He did the things he did because he could do it and because he found pleasure in them (and because he thought he was right).Let’s face it, every single character is as good as they are bad. Whether they were bad in FTL and now good Storybrooke or good and bad in FTL….whatever every single charcter has wronged someone to do right for themselves. Some have done wrong to try to save another. yes, I agree with you there is no one who is completely good or completely bad. Everyone is a victim either by another or themselves or circumstance and yet at the same time each one is also a hero in their own right.

Maybe. She’s a bitch and what she did was pure evil but this show is all about love and forgiveness and I’m 90% sure something will change Regina in some way. And then, she’ll try to make up for all the things she did. Whether she can be redeemed or not is beside the point, I just think she needs someone to have faith in her.
