I think it will sent her of the deep end. They can’t have her redeemed already if they expect the show to go on for any more seasons.

I think Regina could be on the road to repeat her mothers history. Cora ‘gave her heart to magic’ probably too get baby Regina back. That’s what Regina is on the werge of doing right now.It is written in the stars, history repeats itself. The sins of the father.. right ?
And then it’s going to be about, whether or not she will be able to break that circle and choose for herself too take a nother path. Does she have a free will to do this?
You could argue that she already made that choice and is on her way in a better direction. But making that choice ditn’t get her what she wanted, her son, not for very long anyway. I think the actual choice she must make is ‘setting Henry free’ and stop trying too control the situation. Henry said to her, in front of the well “Believe in me” and that’s what she must doo. Believe he will come back, if she sets him free.

So true. In fact, I’ll officially proclaim Regina the hero of this show is she does that.
I think Regina’s road to redemption is going to be long, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Sometimes, people need to take a long hard look at their past actions so that they can properly address them and correct them.

March 14, 2013 at 6:00 pm #179965LisaFromOHParticipantSo, how far back to the dark side do you think Regina will go now? And for how long? Will she still be trying to win Henry back? (These questions are to everyone)
March 14, 2013 at 10:27 pm #180009charmingParticipantCan you really chalk up the kill to Regina or was it Snow who gets the kill?? Snow lit and burned the candle saying Cora’s name and tricked Regina into putting it back into Cora. Yes Regina shoved it back home but Snow did all of the prep work and trickery. The kill belongs to Snow if you ask me.
March 14, 2013 at 11:07 pm #180022PriceofMagicParticipantI agree. Without Snow playing her part, Cora would have lived.
All magic comes with a price!

I think her obsession with Henry is a lost cause. He has his own family, and she’s not a part of it. Also, she can’t be redeemed if her ONLY motivation is winning over Henry. Also, Henry’s ties to Snow will definitely cause problems. At some point, she’s going to have to realize she CAN’T have Henry (perfect time to introduce a love interest for her as a NEW motivation for redemption).
I’m also expecting a falling out between her and Rumpel. That rivalry isn’t over, especially with the part he played in Cora’s death. Also, he has always, always, ALWAYS been a negative force in Regina’s life. Even after going on his own road to redemption with Belle, we still see him trying to get Regina to give herself over to her inner darkness every chance he gets. I said this in another thread, he’s Regina’s enabler.
“Give it up Regina, they’ll never accept you.”
“Kill whoever gets through the portal Regina, Henry will be all yours”
“I bet they’ll never invite you to dinner with them will they Regina?”He is still the little devil on her shoulder
June 16, 2014 at 8:21 pm #274091RumplesGirlKeymasterI’m going to go ahead and take the plunge and open up the conversation for our next summer character discussion. It came to my attention that, almost invariably, when discussing other characters (especially Rumple) Regina came up. Not overly surprising; she’s one of the major characters that gets discussed quite a bit. So here are some thoughts/questions to open conversation
1) Has Regina truly let the “Evil Queen” go? And is it possible to ever do such a thing?
2) Has Regina demonstrated enough regret and remorse for the actions of the past? And does she need to?
3) Is Regina simply a victim of fate/Rumple’s machinations or did she have a hand in her own descent into darkness?
4) Regina classifies herself as a hero at the end of S3B (at least for today). Does she deserve such a moniker? Is it possible that she’ll never truly be “a hero” (off shoot of this question, since I know it’ll come up but what does a “hero” eve mean??)
5) How will Regina act in S4 based on her past and the lessons she’s learned over the course of 3 seasons?
