Did anyone else find it slightly strange that Regina saved Davids life? It is hard to say how much of her story she tells David in the kitchen is true. My theory is David was unconscious on the side of the road directly after the curse was enacted – just as we saw him unconscious in the last moments in FTL. If it is the case that David was found right after the curse was intact, this would make her story about forgetting her cell at the office fake. Why would the EQ save David/Prince Charming if she could have left him there to die and get away with it so easily?
Is it possible they had lived in SB a while before Regina found David on the side of the road and it had nothing to do with his FTL character being unconscious? Or perhaps she didn’t save him at all and that was part of their fabricated memories created by the curse.

Agreed. When Storybrooke was zapped into existence, David was zapped into that hospital bed.
It’s an interesting thought about what happened that first day in SB. Did all our FTL characters just wake up (except David) and think they were their SB characters and go about their day like it was no big deal? I’d really like to know. Was their some sort of transition period where Regina had to get everything in place? How did she make the effects of the curse so specific? Did she have to do something to ensure that she would be Mayor? Or that Rumple would have “comfort” which is what he requested? What about Belle? How did Regina ensure that she wound up in the basement ward? I keep thinking that the season finale will not have any FTL flashbacks, but rather will show us the first few hours/days in SB.

Doesn’t sound very Regina-ish. I think she may have found him, because I get the feeling that for those first few hours in SB everyone was still asleep or the curse was still forming the world. So, she did find him, and I agree was probably very surprised that Charming was alive but as to her reasons for taking him to the hospital…I don’t know. Because you would think that Regina would just let him die, then Snow and Charming could never be together as MM and David.

The coma lasted 28 years. She probably didn’t anticipate him waking up after the first 10 years!
OR maybe she did think he would wake up someday and decided to save him so she could watch him be with Katherine and not MM and get her kicks that way. She can’t be with Daniel, so MM can’t be with David.
