Regina came very close to achieving her goal. Shockingly close, actually.
She’s got the humliation part down. Everyone hates her due to her tryst with David.
Where she still has far to go is the death blow. She had enough for a murder conviction against Mary Margaret. There was enough evidence for that and the death penalty couldn’t be too far behind. We don’t know who the judge it, but it is fair to say the Regina proably has them in her back pocket.
The problem is that without a dead body, there’s no murder case.
Not that everyone will welcome her back with open arms upon her release…

Äääh, do you mean MM or Regina? Super confused. If you meant MM then yes and no. People started to be kind to her again, at least before the whole murder case started. If you meant Regina I don’t get it, sry. 😕
And yes, Regina got reeeeally close to her objective, but she’s made the mistake – like oh so many villains – of actually admiting it to the victim.
Something around these lines:
MM: “I didn’t kill her.”
Regina: “Oh, I know.”
MM and Emma won’t believe her at all and it will probably come to an all out war soon.April 4, 2012 at 11:28 am #140902faithful readerParticipant@mia wrote:

Meant MM. Regina had it in the bag but blew it entirely. Of course, that would effectively end teh series, so it’s not necessarily a bad thing.

It’s not as much the exhonoration, but believing she could commit murder. They know she’s innocent, but the one-two punch of being a homewrecker and a murderer, although both are wrong, probably won’t help the popularity of a second grade teacher. There have been several teachers that were accused of crimes far less than murder, but they were still fired after they were proven innocent, even after their acuser blatently admits to lying.

Give her a break. She’s been idling her time in Storybrooke for twenty-eight years. She’s known what’s going on the entire time. It’s bound to make someone a little rusty.

Pretty much 😆 😆 But you know what? We never saw a body this entire time and I can’t believe I didn’t think about this until now, but it’s typically the case in soap operas, if you don’t see a body then there’s always a pretty good chance the character could come back later (unless the body is a mannequin). 😆 😆

Just a guess/speculation about who the judge might be: The Knave of Hearts. Of course they might not show the judge now, since there won’t be a murder trial.
Keeper of Snow White's Glass Coffin.

But this is TV show.
We already know two people who have survived after their hearts have been pulled: Graham and Daniel (although Daniel’s heart was immediately crushed, which is what killed him). I’m thinking the heart is actually Kathryn’s, which will throw the entire case onto Regina—or get it thrown out.
April 5, 2012 at 12:06 am #140970hjbauParticipantWe also know that Regina is shady as all get out, so all evidence is suspect, in my opinion unless found by Emma or one of her entourage.

This is what I found freaky…the heart has already testep POSITIVE for kathryn…It is going to blow the lid off of who Regina REALLY is, and in my opinion start the wheel turning for everyone to get their memories back

See what I got from that was Dr Whale (who we know is firmly under Regin’s thumb) just doctored the DNA as he seems to be in charge of the hospital/ health care system in SB…. I’ll post my theory on Dr Whale under the theory thread 😉
