The only measure of Regina’s “redemption” is whether she reacts differently to the same sort of occurrence that caused her to become the Evil Queen in the first season. If she reacts the same way, she really hasn’t changed at all. If she suffers the pain and becomes stronger for it (in a healthy way), we will see some virtue coming through. I have a feeling, especially since she used “White Magic” just recently, that she won’t revert back to the murderous queen.

I mean, after all, she’s the one who led Regina to her soulmate. I wonder if Regina’s lovelife also changes when Emma changed her parent’s past? I really feel bad about Regina because her love life was shattered again and it was Snow’s daughter who caused it.

She at least used to respect her, now she has been degraded to being as much an idiot as her parents that’s all and when, if Elsa turns out to be evil, shows up this belief will be reinforced. I am sure we will get lots of sass from her towards Emma but not in the point of wanting to kill her. She still has Henry’s love which she fought for so long. I am actually hoping that Henry just advises her to date more, that is not the end if Robin is not the one, kind off what he did with Emma.

She worried about something else coming through, and I don’t think she really blames Emma. To me, it sounded like she’s mad at what happened, but she also knows Emma better now. And the Charmings. She knows they’d do anything to save anyone, so I don’t think she’ll turn evil.
Sorry for not reading the rest of the thread. 🙂

She won’t hate her, but I don’t see her wanting to have anything to do with her after this. No more magic lessons. No more joining their magic to block out the moon. Bridges have been burned. She won’t try to harm her, but it’s going to be a lot of cold shoulders at Henry hand offs.
Edit to add:
I think up until this point, Regina never really saw Emma as a “Charming.” I think Regina initially read Emma as a bug to be squashed (Season 1), then as someone to emulate in order to salvage her relationship with Henry (early season 2), then as the person standing in her way of having said relationship with Henry (late season 2), and finally as an equal (season 3); someone else with a talent for magic and a maternal connection to Henry.Season 4 will be a bitter divorce.

OMG! Kind of like divorced parents whose marriage ended badly Lol. But yeah I agree no more magic lessons, of course now she has Rumple to teach her. Though I also think Regina might need some lessons herself, you know on account of now being able to use light magic herself. Do you think she will still be able to use light magic now that anger has risen inside her again? o_O”

I’d like to continue seeing Snow having a positive influence in Regina’s life.

After her comment to Emma about being like Snow she also said she hopes nothing else came through the portal. To me that signified Regina’s unhappiness with Marian being back, but also her genuine concern for her family and town. R egina has grown a lot since S1 and I think she’ll be just fine no matter what may come to pass.

Given all that happened between them in S3B, I suspect it’ll be Snow.

That’s a very good question. I think of the color of magic like a mood ring and in Regina’s case, I think as long as she tries to stay good and doesn’t revert to her Evil Queen ways to get her way, her magic will remain pure as well.
