I wanted to collect all the interactions these characters have had. Whenever they’re together nothing is throwaway or filler, even the shortest scene. I found the following from http://ouattranscripts.wordpress.com/index/ so only have the episodes 2, 8, 12 that they’ve appeared together. Everyone’s more than welcome to dissect their dialogue and more from later episodes. 💡
1×2 – The Thing You Love Most
Fairy Tale Land
Rumpelstiltskin: It’s just us, dearie. You can show yourself.
Evil Queen: That curse you gave me – it’s not working.
Rumpelstiltskin: Oh so worried. So, so worried. Like Snow and her lovely new husband.
Evil Queen: What?
Rumpelstiltskin: They paid me a visit, as well. They were very anxious…about you and the curse.
Evil Queen: What’d you tell them?
Rumpelstiltskin: The truth! That nothing can stop the darkness. Except, of course, their unborn child. You see, no matter how powerful, all curses can be broken. Their child is the key. Of course, the curse has to be enacted first.
Evil Queen: Tell me what I did wrong.
Rumpelstiltskin: For that, there’s a price.
Evil Queen: What do you want?
Rumpelstiltskin: Simple. In this new land, I want comfort. I want a good life.
Evil Queen: Fine. You’ll have an estate. Be rich.
Rumpelstiltskin: I wasn’t finished. There’s more!
Evil Queen: There always is with you.
Rumpelstiltskin: In this new land, should I ever come to you for any reason, you must heed my every request. You must do whatever I say. So long as I say ‘please’.
Evil Queen: You do realize, that should I succeed, you won’t remember any of this.
Rumpelstiltskin: Oh, well then. What’s the harm?
Evil Queen: Deal. What must I do to enact this curse?
Rumpelstiltskin: You need to sacrifice a heart.
Evil Queen: I sacrificed my prized steed.
Rumpelstiltskin: A horse? This is the curse to end all curses. You think a horse is going to do? Great power requires great sacrifice. The heart you need must come from something far more precious.
Evil Queen: Tell me what will suffice.
Rumpelstiltskin: The heart of the thing you love most.
Evil Queen: What I love most died because of Snow White.
Rumpelstiltskin: Ooh. Is there no one else you truly love? This curse isn’t going to be easy. Vengeance never isn’t, dearie. You have to ask yourself the simple question. How far are you willing to go?
Evil Queen: As far as it takes.
Rumpelstiltskin: Then please don’t waste everyone’s time and just do it. You know what you love. Now go kill it.Real World
Mr. Gold: What a mess.
Regina: Not for long. What could I do for you, Mr. Gold?
Mr. Gold: I was just in the neighbourhood. Thought I’d pop by. Lovely to see you in such high spirits.
Regina: Well, it’s been a good day. I just rid the town of an unwanted nuisance.
Mr. Gold: Emma Swan. Really?
Regina: Yes. I imagine she’s half way to Boston by now.
Mr. Gold: Oh, I wouldn’t bet on that. I just seen her strolling down the main street with your boy. Thick as thieves, they looked.
Regina: what?
Mr. Gold: Perhaps you should have come to me. If Miss Swan is a problem you can’t fix, I’m only too happy to help. For a price, of course.
Regina: I’m not in the business of making deals with you anymore.
Mr. Gold: To which deal are you referring?
Regina: You know what deal.
Mr. Gold: Oh, right. Yeah. The boy I procured for you. Henry. Did I ever tell you what a lovely name that was? However did you pick it?
Regina: Did you want her to come to town? You wanted all this to happen, didn’t you? Your finding Henry wasn’t an accident, was it?
Mr. Gold: Whatever do you mean?
Regina: Where did you get him? Do you know something?
Mr. Gold: I have no idea what you’re implying.
Regina: I think you do. Who is this woman, his mother, this…Emma Swan?
Mr. Gold: I would say you think you know exactly who she is. I really must be going.
Regina: Tell me what you know about her.
Mr. Gold: I’m not going to answer you, dear. So I suggest you excuse me. Please.
_________1×8 – Desperate Souls
Real World
Mr. Gold: Regina … Shall I move some things? Make a bit of space for your rage?
Regina: You found that loophole in the town charter.
Mr. Gold: Legal documents – contracts, if you like. Always been a fascination of mine.
Regina: Yes, you love to trifle with technicalities.
Mr. Gold: I like small weapons, you see. The needle, the pen, the fine point of a deal. Subtlety – not your style, I know.
Regina: You’re a bastard.
Mr. Gold: I think your grief’s getting the better of you, Regina. Shame what happened to Graham.
Regina: Don’t you talk about him. You know nothing.
Mr. Gold: What is there to know? He died.
Regina: Are you really going up against me?
Mr. Gold: Not directly. We are, after all, both invested in the common good. We’re just picking different sides.
Regina: Well, I think you picked a really slow horse this time. It’s not like you to back a loser.
Mr. Gold: She hasn’t lost yet.
Regina: She will.
Mr. Gold: Never underestimate someone who’s acting for their child.
Regina: He’s not her child. Not legally.
Mr. Gold: Oh, now who’s trifling with technicalities?
_________1×12 – Skin Deep
Real World
Regina: Mr. Gold. That was quite a show back there.
Mr. Gold: Well, Mr. French is just having a bad day – happens to the best of us.
Regina: I’ve been meaning to talk to you about something.
Mr. Gold: Yeah. And the moment you have something I want to discuss, we’ll have that little chat.
Regina: No, we’re going to do this now. It’ll only take a moment.
Mr. Gold: Is there something eating you, dear? Something you need to get out in the open? Cause it’s going to have to wait. Please.Fairy Tale World
Evil Queen: Flimsy locks. I have a deal to discuss. A certain…mermaid.
Rumpelstiltskin: I’m not dealing today.
Evil Queen: Are you angry with me? What is it this time?
Rumpelstiltskin: Your little deception failed. You’ll never be more powerful than me. You can keep trying, dearie, but you’re never going to beat me.
Evil Queen: Is this about that girl I met on the road? Hm? What was her name? Margie? …Verna?
Rumpelstiltskin: Belle.
Evil Queen: Right. Well, you can rest assured I had nothing to do with that tragedy.
Rumpelstiltskin: What tragedy?
Evil Queen: You don’t know? Well, after she got home, her fiancé had gone missing. And after her stay here – her association with you – no one would want her, of course. Her father shunned her, cut her off, shut her out.
Rumpelstiltskin: So, she needs…a home.
Evil Queen: He was cruel to her. He locked her in a tower and sent in clerics to cleanse her soul with scourges and flaying. After a while, she threw herself off the tower. She died.
Rumpelstiltskin: You’re lying.
Evil Queen: Am I?
Rumpelstiltskin: We’re done.
Evil Queen: Fine – I have other calls to make. The place is looking dusty, Rumpel. You should get a new girl.Real World
Mr. Gold: Well, you really wanted that little chat, didn’t you?
Regina: Apparently, this is the only way I could do it.
Mr. Gold: Please – sit. Now, when two people both want something the other has, a deal can always be struck. Do you have what I want?
Regina: Yes.
Mr. Gold: So, you did put him up to it, then.
Regina: I merely suggested, that strong men take what they need.
Mr. Gold: Oh, yeah. And you told him just exactly what to take, didn’t you?
Regina: We used to know each other so well, Mr. Gold. Has it really come down to this?
Mr. Gold: It seems it has, yeah. But you know what I want – what is it you want?
Regina: I want you, to answer one question. And answer it simply – what’s your name?
Mr. Gold: It’s Mr. Gold.
Regina: Your real name.
Mr. Gold: Every moment I’ve spent on this earth, that’s been my name.
Regina: But what about moments spent elsewhere?
Mr. Gold: What are you asking me?
Regina: I think you know. If you want me to return what’s yours – tell me your name.
Mr. Gold: Rumpelstiltskin. Now give me what I want.
Regina: Such hostility.
Mr. Gold: Oh, yeah.
Regina: Over this? Such a sentimental little keepsake.
Mr. Gold: Thank you… Your Majesty. So. Now that we’re being honest with each other, let’s remember how things used to be, shall we? And don’t let these bars fool you, dear. I’m the one with the power around here. I’m going to be out of here in no time, and nothing between us will change.
Regina: We shall see.[adrotate group="5"]May 7, 2012 at 6:57 pm #145840midnight drearyParticipantWOW! Great idea! I think it’s important to have all of they interaction on record. Their scenes are the only ones that actually reveal important info about the curse. 😉
May 8, 2012 at 8:22 pm #145983arjay369ParticipantYeah, they have a lot to say. There’s an animosity between them that hasn’t been shown yet on the series. I’d really like to see the shared story behind these two.
May 15, 2012 at 4:39 am #146868the-evil-queenParticipantIs it sad that I actually like these two as a pairing rather than runplexbelle?
I think they would have a very strong love/hate/power trip kinda thing… A mutual using of each other … Or is that just the fan fic writer in me?May 16, 2012 at 11:13 pm #147096elysabeth1ParticipantAll I have been able to think about lately is what on earth happened between Regina and Rumpelstiltskin. Just a theory…
I am wondering if Regina came to Rumpel to strike up a deal on how to get her mother out of the picture and to take her powers in the process. With Rumpel being able to see into the future, he accepted her “deal” knowing that she would later ask him to create the curse (in which he made his own loopholes) which would lead him to the other world to find Bae. I’m sure somewhere in there she ‘voided’ her deal (thinking she was more powerful than Rumpel), which she seems to be good at, and that made Rumpel angry. I think it was all a plot from the beginning to somehow find Bae, keep his stature, and gain his powers back. Obviously he hid the ‘True Love’ with the full intention of bringing his power back when Emma was ready to believe. Now with magic in our world, finding Bae is much more possible. Rumpel has had the upper hand it seems to me the entire time. In the end he’ll have to choose between his powers and Bae again. I <3 it!
May 17, 2012 at 4:50 am #147129the-evil-queenParticipantOoooooo that would be a great way to make Cora the queen of hearts in wonderland
May 17, 2012 at 4:55 am #147130elysabeth1ParticipantI’m thinking Cora made a deal with Rumpel for power in exchange for her firstborn. Somehow that child ended up being the QoH in Wonderland. Reginas older sister. That’d be awesome. Explain the similarities and obvious tension/bitterness.
May 17, 2012 at 6:23 am #147132the-evil-queenParticipantI’m more thinking that “the boy” is regina’s sibling
May 21, 2012 at 9:34 pm #147493arjay369ParticipantEpisode 1×17 – Hat Trick
(Regina arrives at the station. Inside, she is surprised to find Mary Margaret sitting in her cell reading the newspaper.)
Mary Margaret: Madam Mayor.
Regina: Good morning.
(Mr. Gold appears.)
Mr. Gold: Excuse me, but my client is not having any visitors.
Regina: Of course not.
Mr. Gold: I’ll see you out.
(Mr. Gold and Regina go out into the hall.)
Regina: What is she doing here?
Mr. Gold: She came back.
Regina: You said this was going to work. That she’d take the key, that she’d go.
Mr. Gold: And she did. But, it seems that Miss Swan is rather more resourceful than we thought. Fear not, Your Majesty. Miss Blanchard is still guilty of murder. You may yet get what you want.
Regina: Oh, I better. The only reason I made a deal with you, Gold, is because I wanted results.
Mr. Gold: And results you shall have. See you at the arraignment.Episode 1×18 – The Stable Boy
(Regina is in her office fiddling with a ring. She holds it to her lips, when Mr. Gold enters.)
Mr. Gold: Remembrance of things past?
Regina: What do you want?
Mr. Gold: I need a favour.(‘One Week Ago’)
Regina: You need a favour from me?
Mr. Gold: Well, as you know, there are battery charges against me…pending. I really don’t relish the thought of spending any more time locked up in a cage. Now, someone with your influence can make the D.A. suddenly realize what a flimsy case they have. Isn’t that right… Your Majesty?
Regina: What do I get out of it?
Mr. Gold: Help, with your Mary Margaret problem. You see, I’ve noticed that no matter how hard you seem to try to stop them, she and her ‘charming’ friend just keep finding ways to be together.
Regina: What are you suggesting?
Mr. Gold: If you want to inflict pain… Then you must inflict pain. If something tragic were to happen to David’s wife, and if Mary Margaret should take the blame-
Regina: She’d be ruined.
Mr. Gold: And you’d have your victory, at last.
Regina: A trial could be very messy.
Mr. Gold: A trial? Who said anything about a trial? Now, once Miss Blanchard has been incarcerated, you can plant one of your lovely skeleton keys in her cell. And, once she tries to leave Storybrooke, well… We all know what happens to people who attempt to leave town.
Regina: Give me one good reason why I should trust you.
Mr. Gold: Because I always honour my agreements. Do we have a deal?Episode 1×20 – The Return
(Regina and Mr. Gold are in Mr. Gold’s Pawn Shop.)
Regina: You broke our deal.
Mr. Gold: I broke one deal in my life, dear. And it certainly wasn’t this one.
Regina: Kathryn was supposed to die, and Mary Margaret was to get the blame.
Mr. Gold: Yeah, murder seems so much worse here, though, doesn’t it? You can’t just turn someone into a snail and then step on them, can you? You didn’t say ‘kill her’. We agreed that something tragic should happen to her. Now, abduction is tragic.
Regina: The intent was perfectly clear.
Mr. Gold: Oh, let’s not talk about intent. Intent is meaningless.
Regina: Intent is everything.
Mr. Gold: Please.
Regina: This is going to raise all kinds of questions about where she was and how the test results were fake.
Mr. Gold: Oh, yes. And, um… And who put the key in her cell.
Regina: It’s all going to lead to me, isn’t it? You bastard. This doesn’t make any sense. You and I – we’ve been in this, together, from the start.
Mr. Gold: Oh, have we?
Regina: You created the curse for me. The curse that brought us here, and built all this.
Mr. Gold: Yes, it’s about time you said thank you.
Regina: Why did you do it?
Mr. Gold: Well, you’re a smart woman, Your Majesty. Figure it out. -
