Crazy theory going through my head. Anybody else think it’s possible that Regina had a child with Leopold? I have thought this for some time seeing as birth control obviously wasn’t the best if it even existed at that time, because Snow and Cinderella were both pregnant very quickly after marriage. And for Regina to be with Leopold all of those years and not get pregnant is very curious to me. My thoughts are that she either A) Got pregnant and lost the child ultimately sending her completely over the edge
B) Could not have children of her own, which explains so many other things.
C) She did get pregnant, but did not want to raise the child in royalty and power, so she decides to run away to the woods, seen in spoiler pics, and raise her child alone. But Rumple shows up takes the child and tells Regina it has died, the child ultimately becoming Peter Pan.. Know this is a long shot, but curious to other thoughts?[adrotate group="5"]March 24, 2013 at 8:00 pm #181898astrawoidParticipantIf anything, I think that Regina cannot have children of her own. At least that’s my thought. No reason as to why I think this other than a gut feeling.

Actually she may not have had to do anything with Leopold because I don’t think he’s the type to pressure or push someone to do anything they didn’t want to do. Not to mention, he still seemed to be hung up on his first wife. He just wanted to find a mother for Snow, so who knows.

True, I have thought this as well, but I think it adds to the pain of her having to share a bed with a man she never really loved when she was so very young and full of dreams and ideals of marriage, love etc. And for him he was looking for a mother for Snow, but he was also a “lonely” man as pointed out several times.

Not only did she and Leopold have no children in the EF, but she and Graham never had a child in SB, where there was no magic. Unless Regina used regular birth control methods in our world, it seems like she’d eventually have fallen pregnant naturally. It seems like she really wanted a child by the time she got to SB to fill the hole in her heart. She probably wouldn’t use birth control since she really wanted to be a mother. If she were able to conceive a child, she would have done so when Graham spent every night in her bed. Perhaps she tried for 18 years to get pregnant, before she finally gave up and adopted Henry.

😆 😳 Lol Imagine her systematically seducing the men in town trying to find a sperm donor if she thought Graham was shooting blanks.
I think the time loopiness also had something to do with her wait and inability to have a child, and why she did not just take a baby in SB already. She could have had Cinderella induced for example, but perhaps the magic would not have allowed that to happen.

Unless they used some type of birth control.
I could def see her at least trying to get pregnant with Graham within that 18yr time frame, not realizing that she couldn’t get pregnant bc of the curse. Now I don’t think it took her 18yrs to realize this fact.. This is all def an interesting factor that I would like to see answered..
March 25, 2013 at 4:14 pm #182158SlurpeezParticipantTime being frozen during the curse is a factor to consider in Regina’s infertility in SB, but it doesn’t explain her infertility in the EF or her continued infertility after time started to flow again in SB. I doubt Graham was the infertile one, since Regina didn’t have children with Leopold either. If Regina is fertile, then she was just really unlucky to sleep with two infertile men, or the more likely case is she’s barren. She wanted to adopt Gretel and Hansel after she’d already made the huntsman her sex slave, so clearly she didn’t get pregnant in the EF. If Regina really is able to get pregnant but was only limited by time being frozen in SB, then seeing as she wasn’t cursed, she could’ve left town at any point. She could have gone on a vacation and slept with a good-looking guy enough times to conceive a child the old-fashioned way. Or she could have visited a fertility clinic and been inseminated artificially. Yet, I think the simplest answer is that Regina is infertile, which is why she eventually chose adoption.

March 25, 2013 at 5:05 pm #182183RumplesGirlKeymasterI agree with Slurpeez, infertile. (really nice points BTW)
So was she born infertile? Or we do have a certain QoH to thank for making her infertile. People have long speculated that Cora caused George’s wife to become infertile, so she could do the same as Regina. Love is weakness and if Regina had a child she may not have been so easily controlled or risen so high.
