Im starting to think Regina getting her Heart back in her chest will not be the best thing for her. Think of it I mean first of all it would be a nice parallell to her mother Cora who died when her Heart was back in her chest.

And then all the good Things she has been able to do after it was taken out, its like she is back to her pre-Daniels-death Young self. Yes she was also able to do some good Things with her Heart, but ever since its out you have to admit she is a changed person.

If we think way back far in the past, Mal once said to her she should not enact the dark curse, because that  would leave a hole in her Heart, one she would never be able to fill. I used to really like that about the curse. It was something very final and bad bad irreversable dark magic. Then when she found Henry and we were all like- “oh so he will fill the hole in her Heart” I felt kind of meh! Though I was happy for her, the finality of the dark curse sort of started to ring a bit hollow. But this to me will set it back in order. If her Heart is forever cursed with darkness.

This is her curse, like the dagger is Rumples curse. Or the Heart holds Reginas curse while Rumples dagger holds his. Its the same thing. Rumple has to do whatever the person holding his dagger wants him to do. Hearts are like that, though Regina appearently has protected hers from that, but the idea was that when a person holds your Heart you have to do what the person want. Rumple is the Dark One BECAUSE of the dagger. Maybe Regina is ‘dark’ because of her dark Heart.

So in order for her to be fully redeemed she has to either live without having it in her chest. Or find a way to ‘wash it white’ so to speak. Like Rumple to be fully redeemed, has to find a way to take his dagger-curse of himself.

I really hope this isn’t right, because I love seeing Regina happy & good! I have been wondering, though, since that wicked smirk & the Evil Queen music that played when she put Zelena’s pendant in the box, if something was up! I just don’t know what to make of that, and your theory does explain it.  If so, I hope she realizes it & gives her heart back to Robin.

Well Regina’s heart is pretty dark. Putting it back in her chest is putting back in the darkness. It seems that without ur heart, ur very level headed and unnattached. Perhaps thats why Regina is able to do so much good without it, because she isn’t being influenced by the darkness. She is making decisions on her own I guess

I think having her heart won’t do too much, because even with her heart, there was an attraction between her and Robin. And not to mention that with her heart, she decided to let Zelena stay in jail rather than killing her, thus proving that her heart is becoming lighter and lighter.

As for the smirk at the end, I think that’s just the feeling of victory, that Evil finally won over Wicked, thus they used her Evil Queen theme to establish the victory of Evil.
