Aurora being cursed twice, even though there’s two different timelines now, I don’t think that makes sense either. I think Aurora was only cursed once.
Actually. We can pretty confidently say that she was only cursed once, right? The Red Room. She was terrified of it, as if she had never been there before. If she had been cursed twice, she would know what to expect the second time ’round.
Part of the conversation between Snow and Aurora in Tallahassee
MMB: It’s okay. It’s over now. These nightmares… They will fade away. I promise.
Aurora: Did they for you?
MMB: Yeah. Come on. Come on. I’ll sit with you until you fall back asleep. Who else do I have to take care of?
Aurora has clearly never been to the Red Room because she doesn’t know that the nightmares never fade (recall Snow’s face when she says the last line…)

March 22, 2015 at 11:06 am #299432KebParticipantYeah, Aurora’s messed up continuity with the curse really bugs me. I’m still hoping (because I’m desperately optimistic) that they’ll clear it up somehow so it matches.
They came clean about the Baby Alexandra mess up, so maybe they’ll either admit a mistake here or address the difference in the stories/curse function later. I’m hoping so much for the latter.
Anyway, my sense of the timeline regarding Regina’s training seems to match with WR and a few of you, so I think I’ll leave it as is barring further information/evidence.

To reiterate….not a perfect fit but it kinda fits with some imagination-stretching. It’s like wiggling an almost round peg into a perfectly round hole so that it actually slides in.

Yes, I think it is a good idea to wait for more information.
While mine and @WickedRegal’s timeline mostly fits, it is not perfect and requires a lot of wiggling and excuse-making especially in regards to the *timing* of Aurora being cursed.

They could, to be sure. But at this point, knowing all the titles and having pieced together who gets what episode as a centric, it seems like if they did offer up an explanation in-universe, it’d be S5 and then we’re back to the question of will S5’s explanation (should there be one) match or nullify S4B’s stance.
Ok, another piece of evidence that Aurora was not cursed twice: TLK.
Phil was turned into the Yaogui after Aurora was cursed by Mal apparently in 414. He was then shipped off (ran off?) to Fairy Tale! China until Belle saved him and he joined up with Mulan. It was during their trek back that the Curse hit. In order for Aurora to be awoken from any sleeping curse, she needs Phil’s TLK. But he can’t have kissed her as a Yaogui. (unless they go a very bizarre route. And while this show often plays fast and loose with the rules of family TV, bestiality seems a bit too far here)
