Regina’s Office

This episode ‘Stable Boy’ opened with quite a long discussion in Regina’s office and we got to see some sweeping shots of the whole room for the first time with some new information under our belts.

We always knew the mirror on her wall symbolized her magic mirror and her wallpaper symbolized the forest. Her red apples are always present as well.

Now we know the large white horse over her fireplace is a nod to her riding days. The orchid is a nod to her mother’s orchids. Everything in the office seems to have meaning.

We see that she has had Daniel’s ring all this time in a box right on the top of her desk for anyone to find. We also know that she has her skeleton keys in an available location too as Henry is able to just take them with no problem to open MM’s door.

She also has a very ornate chest on her desk that looks like a nod to her chests containing hearts, but now I am wondering what’s in there. She seems to keep things right out in the open or in easily accessible locations presumably because she feels no one is on to her and she has nothing to fear up until this point.

When she shows Katherine the photos of MM and David having an affair, they are at her finger tips and not hidden away.

Sooo what’s in that very large, obvious chest on her desk I wonder????

That room screams everything that she is to anyone who walks in, but no one (with the exception of Mr Gold, and possibly Henry) has any idea. She’d love that. What a way to flaunt the power she has over everyone.

Who knows what (if anything) she keeps in it now, but it was the chest she put her father’s heart in when she took it to toss it in the fire and enact the curse.

I do remember from that episode that Regina didn’t really have to search much since they were just lying on her desk. 😆

Regina is so confident and sure of herself, that she has no reason to hide anything in her office. Not many people sneak in there (except for maybe Emma).
