Regina’s red-velvet gown

I’m pretty sure when we saw Regina at the end of ‘The Outsider’ capturing Belle, we’ve seen that red velvet outfit before. And I was right. The first time we saw it was in 1×16 “The Heart of Darkness.” I don’t think we’ve ever seen Regina do a repeat fitting of the same outfit on the show before. The one in The Heart is a Lonely Hunter is a different dress.

I noticed that too but I think this time this is more to do with having an outfit specific to facilitate horse riding.

Or maybe she captured Belle on her way to her summer home, maybe this took place around the time that Snow White forgot about Charming.

I don’t think so. In Heart of Darkness, it was winter time and didn’t even look cold when Belle was captured.

I’m trying to place it on the timeline:

– Belle talks to Grumpy about going back to fight for Nova
– some time later (soon, few days?) Grumpy comes back happy telling her they are about to escape
– Belle leaves for her adventure
– the next night Grumpy gets separated from Nova and becomes, well, Grumpy
– some time later (after working quite a lot to save wages for the diamond) he’s arrested by King George
– Grumpy meets Snow White for the first time
– Stealthy sets them free but they get captured again, Snow White stays behind and tells Charming she doesn’t love him
– Snow White starts living with the dwarfs
– Charming rescues Abigail’s knight and their engagement is cancelled
– meanwhile Snow White drinks the potion
– the dwarfs keep trying to talk to her, they even call for Jiminy
– they take Snow to Rumple but he just encourages her to kill the queen and even gives her bow and arrow
– Snow finally sets on her mission, finds the queen and tries to shoot her.
Notice: yes, Regina is wearing the same clothes but she’s followed by her carriage, NOT a cage.
– at some point in time Belle gets captured

It seems like it has been a very long long time after Grumpy last saw Belle – and her adventure itself was actually short – a few days? True, travelling there in the first place might have been long but how come Cloude was able to report Belle to Regina so quickly? It couldn’t be that long if Regina was able to reach the China-land with the cage and her soldiers as soon as Cloude told her – the flexibility there is maybe a full day at the most? I reckon Belle has been captured months before the time when Snow was trying to hunt Regina down. Not to mention that Philip and Mulan seem to have a really long history fighting together so the time when he was released from his curse must have been set quite back in time.

I agree. I think it is just Regina’s riding outfit.
