There are things that happen on this show. I just don’t think that it is really plot. It is just random events. There is not cohesion of story, the characters are inconsistent, there is no growth, there is rarely a basic connection from one moment to another. There is a lot of repetition now. Things like Emma is the savior and the savior will die is said in various forms throughout the season up until the end when we find out whether or not she will die. There has been a little bit of plot with that in the episodes where Emma talked to Aladdin about his experience and maybe a little bit with Hyde, but even that is debatable because Hyde was unreliable and i am not sure how much we can take anything he said as relevant.

I think the last episode was like information dump. It wasn’t plot. If you want to call though the basic things that happen in a show plot though that’s fine. I don’t agree with that definition, but it isn’t an unreasonable one. I think character growth is plot and that is what i mean when i say this show does not have a plot. I mean there is no character growth anymore.

I think the whole problem is that we all know that there are only a few episodes left of the series so I for one don’t want to see that time wasted on unnecessary items like Hook and Black Beard in Neverland if it does not connect directly back to Storybrooke right now.  They are wasting time that could be used to further develop characters and bring resolutions to story lines.  I did not mind Hook and Blackbeard this episode but I did find it useless and a waste of time when I know that there is  not much time left. So what I am basically saying is that these scenes would have been fine and quite enjoyable if they came in like season 2 when we knew there was plenty of time to tell the rest of the stories, but right now they need to concentrate on what matters not some jaunt for Hook and Blackbeard or even last week’s episode which was a total waste of time.
