Emma killed Cruella without knowing that Cruella could not harm another person. It was part of Gold’s plan to corrupt the Savior. What happens to Emma now? Will she go super dark? And what do you make of Gold’s plan which in part meant kidnapping his grandson?

She was the best of the QoD. Wish she was sticking around. I get *why* in order to advance Dark! Emma plot but…still. 🙁

But I guess if they need the Savior to kill someone, they made it be someone who isn’t “evil isnt’ born, it’s made” but rather “mental issues are born?”

If we’re talking about, “Does this make Emma dark?”, I thought it was justified. She was defending the life of her son – the person in her life who she has unconditional love for.

Let’s compare this to Snow in S2. She killed Cora because, besides the fact that Cora wanted to kill them, Snow wanted to get revenge for everything Cora’s done. That’s wrong.

Emma, on the other end, killed Cruella because she was under the perfectly reasonable idea that Cruella was going to kill Henry. If she had known prior that Cruella wouldn’t kill him then still did it, I would say that that’s wrong. But, since she was defending her son (who, after almost two years worth of every single villain on this show including his adoptive mother trying to kill him, still hasn’t learned any survival skills), I believe that she was completely justified and does not deserve to go dark.

But of course she will. Which is a shame, too, because Cruella now ranks as one of my favorite villains on this show. Her playing Angry Birds was great.

YESSS!!!! She was so amazing!!!! And it only goes to show what I personally think about all the villains on this show: the best ones don’t have tragic backstories.

I agree. Emma killing Cruella doesn’t (and shouldn’t) count as a dark deed. If anything, what Emma did was actually a heroic deed: she acted to save a child (her child). I don’t see what Emma did as a crime, at all. She is a sheriff, whose duty it is it to protect the people of SB. She was upholding her responsibility, and sadly, sometimes the police have to use force when necessary. On top of that, she killed Cruella in defense of her own son against a woman who was certifiably insane. Emma had no way of knowing in advance that Cruella had been magically rendered incapable of killing anyone again. I really dislike the way the writers are trying to make Emma’s decision to act in defense of her own son tantamount to murder, because it’s not. A police-woman who acts to save a hostage by killing the would-be murderer (in this case Cruella), is not a villain, but a hero!

Where is this stupid platitude that “heroes don’t kill” even coming from? That is not true, at all, and isn’t how the real world works. Guess what? Everyday heroes must make life-and-death decisions on a daily basis. Sometimes the police have to take a life in order to save and protect innocent people. People in the armed forces, special forces, and police force sometimes have to kill in the line of duty to protect civilians.

I agree. Emma didn’t kill Cruella because she wanted to, she killed her because she had to in order to save Henry. Even then, the only reason Cruella died was because they were stood at the edge of a cliff when Emma blasted her back, if they had been stood in a flat field Cruella would’ve lived.

Emma didn’t kill Cruella, Gravity did!

In a drama-tense filled episode, I loved that moment so much.  Isaac’s authoring skills are so powerful that Cruella couldn’t even kill fake birds in a video game. Lol.

Plus, her sass was just awesome, every episode. I wish we kept her around longer but I appreciate, she was evil for the sake of being evil.  It’s just what she loved. I also feel like there’s more layers to her story and especially her mom than what we saw.
