Were you sad to Liz go? Do you think there was more to her story? And how sad were those scenes between her and Will?
I was sad to see Liz just drop dead like that since I was hoping she’d be a viable love interest for Will once he got his heart back. She seemed like a sweet girl, but she was too underdeveloped as a character for me to be too invested in her. It was very sad though that she died just when she was feeling rejected. We’ll never know if Will could’ve felt something more for her once he got his heart back.

Especially considering that moments before, they’d been arguing about if Ana could be trusted when she said Liz was already dead, and so they were gonna ask GenieWill to clarify…then they never asked him.
Her death was really sad, Will couldn’t even hold her as she died, she just had to lie there alone, it was heartbreaking. But then they didn’t follow through with it.
Not that much time had passed, so it wasn’t really believable to me that Will was 100% over it already, especially considering he’d been stuck there in his bottle with a view of her dead body until Ana came to pick him up, and you know he felt sort of responsible because it was his magic that granted Liz’s wish that killed her. So really, there should have been a bit of angst, a bit of Cyrus and Will discussing how it sucks when your master makes a careless wish that results in disaster, which would have been a perfect little follow up to Will’s earlier line about not knowing what Cyrus was complaining about.
Not having that little bit of closure, lessens the emotional impact of her death in the first place, and that bugs me.

It could also be that the master just can’t wish for someone else to die. Or maybe there really aren’t rules; Will remembered the “Mistress mine” line without having heard it. I can imagine Cyrus making up rules just to keep the power from being abused too badly.

But so sad! I liked her. Yes, she died because her death caused Will to feel something. Wishes tend to work like that.
Goodness, the characters on Wonderland are really lousy at making wishes- you need to be very careful and very specific when you wish.

But really she was so stupid. I thought she would deal with the wishes better. If I were in her place I wouldn’t make any wish, just keep the grateful Will by my side and wait until our relationship grows closer.
Oh and I was totally right with my dress theory! She wished to look good and he gave her what he thinks looks the best!

That’s what me and Corbin assumed. I said her death made Will feel grief, while he said it made Will feel guilt.
Oh that makes sense.
I thought she died because her heart went to Will so he could feel. But your idea is probably true.

But I don’t think one of the rules was that you can’t wish for people to die. We know that magic can kill. The only thing magic can’t to is to bring someone back to life (unless they’re the blue fairy I guess), to make someone love you and to change the past.

I too! But at least it wasn’t a surprise I guess.
You know what I can't continue with the dead people brought back to life list I'm out of space in the signature and now we have an underworld arc this is to much I quit why do you bring so many people back to life OUAT WHHHYYYY
March 7, 2014 at 7:54 pm #250905once_dudeParticipanti was incredibly sad for Liz. i think that really the scene between cyrus and will was probably shot but they removed it for the sake of jabberwocky. i really however cant stop wondering where will’s heart is to begin with. also, he can feel scaraed for alice (see borogrove with carpenter), he can feel loyal towards alice and cyrus, but he cant feel love. i really want a clearer definition of exactly what one can and cant feel without a heart. because what if will having no heart was like cora then he would be sueless on alice’s quest.
Magic always comes with a price, so I pay with visa.

Yes.
I never really felt attached to her character too, IMO. We only had two episodes of her and it is sad she died in her return. My boyfriend commented actually, it was a very “Joss Whedon” thing to do. Because it’s pretty much routine for him in his most of his stuff, Buffy, Angel, Firefly even, to kill characters.
The sad, tragic unrequited love part of it is definitely going into my True Love meta for Wonderland when I get around to it.

The reviwer speculates that maybe Jafar manages to change the laws of magic and the heroes manage to revive Lizard with a wish, even going as far as leaving her as Wonderland´s new ruler, the White Queen: Queen Elizabeth.

Before she died, I had theorized that Liz was the rightful ruler of the kingdom and the daughter of the White King. Now I’m not so sure because of death and because I sorta doubt Jafar will succeed (wouldn’t we know by now if the laws of magic were broken?)
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"March 8, 2014 at 9:15 pm #251122Domanar AgetroParticipantWhat do you mean by “wouldnt we know by now if the laws of magic were broken”? You mean spoilers? 🙂
If that´s the case, well… I don´t know xD
But A and E certainly like to do the unexpected. Besides, since they are taking into account all of Wonderland´s universe, and they just have one season to explore their ideas and said universe, I think there is a fair chance they are going to use the White Queen. We have almost all of the iconic characters from Alice in Wonderland I think, because they have tried to use them all. And if Jafar is dead and Anastasia will not regain the throne, maybe Wonderland will get a new ruler. Would be cool if it were the actual White Queen.
Now, to be fair, we really don´t know a lot about Lizard so as to care if she gets the throne. The only way for that to be corrected would be if they gave us more backstory, maybe through a flashback. But again, yes, this is just speculation. Just that I think this is actually pretty cool and intriguing speculation. xD
