One other reason I can see for them killing off Robin is that I can see that it would have been a struggle for him to make peace with Zelena and to share their daughter fully with her. While this reaction from him is more than understandable given not only baby Robin’s conception, but Zelena’s actions aftwards, it would have created such a tension filled family environment that portraying it would have been complex, especially with the new loving bond between Regina and Zelena.

But ya know what, that could have actually been some compelling stuff for the writers to delve into, if they actually gave a damn about delving into their characters any more. It could have fueled character growth and provided plot points for a whole season, if the writers could have actually been bothered to explore these complicated realtionships in any sort of believable way. But nope, they just saw Robin’s legitimate issues as an obstacle to other things they wanted to fast forward to without properly dealing with implications. So they just had him vapourised out of existence.

I feel bad for Sean. Just like I’ve felt bad for several actors and actresses that have come before him on this show. They take the time and effort to build up these characters through their portrayal as best they can with what little material they’re given, and then all their work just gets tossed in the trash.

And if we see this, instead of development they actually made Robon disapear some episodes before his dead, like they usually do with characters they will kill for real. The same happened to neal, 2 years ago, less screen time before the final epi, where they kill the character, instead of give them more screen time and story and then kill them.

As pointed out by Lily Sparks, the method of Robin’s death likely means there’ll be no way for him to be resurrected since he was totally wiped from existence. That leaves me with another bone to pick. Since Robin’s entire existence was supposedly erased, then shouldn’t none of the other characters even remember him at all? Wouldn’t his kids also not exist anymore since he never even existed at all in the storyline? Or did I just not understand the implications of the Olympian plastic toy?

My guess is that his existence ends at that moment–as in everything that happened for and to Robin until that point counts, but there’s no way for him to exist again.

Can't believe they cut this precious reunion between Robin and Roland. THIS WAS IMPORTANT!!! pic.twitter.com/lS3ysXA2PN

Yeah it’s a shame that scene was cut.

I completely forgot about that. They better put it on the DVD / Blu-ray.

You know it’s a sad day when #OutlawQueen & #SwanQueen literally cast aside their differences to shade the hell out of the fact, Adam and Eddy obliterated Robin Hood, but brought back Hook with Zeus’s blessing……

Yeah…the fact that the Roland scene was cut is too bad.  But as I’ve said in other threads, although the crystal “ended” him, I would not be surprised Robin came back simply because the crystal is likely Zeus’ and we have seen the power Zeus has with bringing people back.
