Alright after having a night to sleep on it I’m still upset but I know that Rumple really isn’t dead. That would be suicide for the show and it’s supposed to be about happy endings – him saying “villains don’t get happy endings” should be a clue/foreshadowing that he’s not really dead, because this show is about proving the exact opposite of that. And how can there be a happy ending for Belle if her true love is dead?
And adding to the no body = no death, when Rumple killed the DO in “Desperate Souls” we saw the DO die and his body there. He didn’t disappear in a puff of smoke. So obviously this is different.
My main worry now is how long we’ll have to go in the second half without seeing Rumple. I hope we don’t have to wait til like the last episode, I hope he comes back in the first episode or two.

1. He’s a main character
5. Rumple brings in the ratings his biggest alley right now are the studio execs who want to make a load of money.
Kudos to the writers who are not afraid to write a good story EVEN if it means killing a main character!
and “good story” doesn’t even come close to describing how epic this isDecember 16, 2013 at 8:47 am #231191RumplesGirlKeymasterAnd how can there be a happy ending for Belle if her true love is dead?
Yes his existence plays into others’s happy endings. Like Snow told Charming in NL : “If you died, I could not go on.” That’s Belle now. And Nealfire just started to forgive his father and move past what happened all those years ago.

"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"December 16, 2013 at 8:53 am #231194rumbelledearieParticipantAnd notice we fans are the only ones talking like Rumple is dead. In the interview with Bobby and Emilie he talked about how we’ll see Rumple hasn’t completely changed and that “maybe season 4” comment. Plus, in that new article about the Wicked Witch that was posted after last night’s episode, it says “We are told that THE WWOW (you’re welcome for another terrible nickname) will square off against Regina, forming a new, formidable opponent to the Evil Queen, now that she and Rumple have made amends.” Not, “now that Rumple is gone/dead”. The fact that we haven’t seen pics of him makes even more sense now (I’m not sure if he’s back in Scotland or not, I did see a pic of him at the Vancouver festival a week or so ago but he could’ve flown back for that). They’re going to keep him hidden to add to the suspense. Or he has scenes in 312/313 that can be added in after he returns.
When’s Paleyfest? Is it before March 9th?

It’s like right before. Most people think they are going to show 312 at Paley.
Also, I sorta love your post. You’re right. All the interviews lately have been about the upcoming stuff and haven’t mentioned a Rumple no longer in existence but as if Rumple is still a very real factor in the show.

Okay awesome, so we’ll get some answers (or at least hints), especially if Bobby is there. Which he always is.
I keep clinging to those interviews lol, he’ll be okay.

and this is why I agree that there could be a way for Belle to rescue him from whatever fate he’s in (assuming he isn’t dead) because HE IS NOT A VILLIAN

Don’t gotta convince me. 🙂
But I think you’re right that Belle is going to rescue him. one of the interviews that came out right before 311 said that in the second half of the season, Belle and Rumple will be in the same world for a long time and that Rumbelle fans will be in for a treat as they work on their relationship
