Once Upon a Time is resurrecting Cora — kind of!
Actress Rose McGowan has signed on to reprise her role as the youthful version of the villainous Queen of Hearts.
McGowan (Charmed, Death Proof) previously played Cora in the pivotal episode “The Miller’s Daughter” last March, which was an origin story for the character (normally played by Barbara Hershey) and also showed her death. The character hasn’t been on the show since. McGowan will return to Once Upon in the 18th episode this season.

It’s not necessarily confirmed yet, but more probable than ever.
January 25, 2014 at 11:54 am #240575JosephineParticipantI just don’t understand how #WickedSisters is going forward and the brilliant #TeamBrothers was never to be. 🙁
Reaction isn’t all positive around fandom so far from what I’ve seen. People are sick of the interrelatedness of everyone now. Yes, Bae=Neal=Henry’s papa was brilliant, but after PapaPan, Kinda Step-Papa-but-not Hook and every other thing it’s getting ridiculous.

January 25, 2014 at 11:56 am #240576angiebelleParticipantIf it turns out to be WickedSisters, they’d better have a very good explanation as to why there has not been any indication of a mysterious sibling in the past. It still sounds awfully out of the blue and soap opera to me, but I digress.
At the very least, I hope that if they are sisters then Regina is unaware of her, otherwise it’s like, “Oh- by the way- meet my wicked sister whom I have not made any mention of to anyone before this point.”
January 25, 2014 at 12:05 pm #240578JosephineParticipantExactly, Angie. That’s a big reason why I’m not for #WickedSisters. It seems to be pulled from thin air and bad soap opera writing. I will admit if they have good writing I might get in line with it, but until I see it unfold I will be skeptical.
You know…I’m almost to the point of giving up spoilers completely because every single one is non-exciting and not really what I want to see, except for Robin/Regina. It’s zapping away my excitement about the show returning in March. If it wasn’t for seeing OutlawQueen and my precious Imp again, I wouldn’t be that exuberant about the show coming back.

January 25, 2014 at 12:13 pm #240581CindersParticipantI’m ok with the Wicked Sisters storyline. However I would prefer a switched at birth story. I hope Cora’s upcoming story will include an explanation of how, when and why Rumple held Regina in his arms when she was a baby.
Also, if Rumple saw his future with Regina, that she would be important to him, even before she was born, then I have to assume he also saw his future with WWW.
January 25, 2014 at 12:13 pm #240582koffeegirlParticipantYes! I can’t wait for WickedRegal to see this:) It ties in perfectly with the WickerSisters theory and the backstory of Cora–getting demoted from the palace:) Cora had an affair-is pregnant with WWW and is demoted—Cora gives up the baby.
I would love it if this episode has a little Regina in it, similar to how Bailey Madison plays little Snow. Also, maybe we will get to see Rumple since he did see Regina when she was more “portable” according to him:) Is it March yet????
January 25, 2014 at 12:16 pm #240583CorbinParticipantPersonally, I like all the family relations. Sure, they ARE overabundant, but it’s cool to see all these family connections.
But, I DO want to see a good reason for giving Regina a sister. I mean, they knew that they were going to bring Rose back and that they were going to have the Wicked Witch, so they know what they’re doing. Are we going to like it? That remains to be seen. But I think I will.
The only way I will not like it is if Rumple’s the dad. Cora told him, after she ripped out her heart, that, “If you do have a child, it won’t be mine.” That would be a COMPLETE BACKTRACK, and I wouldn’t like it. That would be horrible continuity and complete disrespect to Jane.
