If that is the case wouldn’t they have caught the glich and corrected it. ❓
So the final was (51% = 40,756) vs (49% = 39,275) we lost by 1,481 votes
All things considered that is a very small amount of votes to lose by! We should be very proud. Given the popularity of SPN and Destiel they should have run away with the votes, but we held our own!

If you read the caption the person put on the screencap when they tweeted it, you will see they say “check this screen cap out. Mouse is over #RumBelle, but shows Dean/Cast instead. Fraud?” And if you look at the pic itself, you see that the link that has popped up is for Destiel, even though the person is voting for Rumbelle. Dodgy. 😕
While I always want to give the benefit of the doubt, multiple people claimed the same thing happened the day before yesterday. Honestly, knowing how many of us were voting, even if it was only the 10 off the top of my head , and the ticker only rose 50-100 in 30 minutes at peak hour, all those things were making me wonder.
Not accusing, but it is something I couldn’t help but wonder about, watching the numbers rise.
Also, seeing Zimbio say the cheating is only one sided (Rumbelle) on twitter (meaning us ONLY)… if that were the case we would have been ahead.. but they took away votes even when we were sunk on Wednesday night. So just them being adamant about us being the only cheaters left a bad taste in my mouth. It is possible for them to simply not catch it. Steliokontos’ analysis was a pretty good indicator considering we had known the time frame they were using it. But like I said, the moment it became about endless clicking is when in my mind I lost the seriousness and legitimacy of it being “most popular” of “best”. Don’t get men wrong , passion is important too, but it just changed the meaning is all.
Everything aside, it stopped being a popularity contest when it became about endless clicking. Which is fine, I mean at that point it becomes more about passionate fanbase. But still, in anything like this, the results in the championship round aren’t really indicative of anything besides fan passion. I’d say its truly amazing we got so far and we won, guys. We really won a whole lot.
I agree with RG, whether they were using bots or not, it is a very small margin to lose by. I was hoping we could hold the 100-200 margin we had for a lot of the day, but 1400 is really small too. They have been around a long time and are a whole lot more organized and have more of a diehard internet following than we do. Props to them for being so passionate. I can’t believe we kept up with them!
