I think it would be cool that, once Henry and Regina begin to patch things up, that he learns a bit of magic. I could totally see him learn all she can teach him (and maybe Gold too, if it turns out that Bae is his dad) and be one of the only characters on the show–besides the fairies–who use magic for good and doesn’t let it corrupt him.
I don’t know… I really don’t think Henry would want magic and I don’t want him to have it either. All magic has a price, and I don’t want him to pay it, even if he is using it for good. I say leave the good magic to the fairies and Emma.

She has no memory to loose.
She will still be Emma if she crosses.October 8, 2012 at 2:33 am #155965youfoundmeParticipantoooo I really like the idea of Henry learning magic and using it for good! That would be perfect for him.
October 8, 2012 at 4:07 am #156007faux paxParticipantIf Rumple turns out to be Regina’s dad….
That would seems out of character for him. I won’t deny there is some sort of connection–one deeper then we have yet seen–but i don’t think it would be that (as epic as it could have been). Rumple is extremely family oriented, and Regina has been little but a pawn to him. I don’t see how they could make her his daughter without making his actions in regard to her over the last season completely out of character.
October 8, 2012 at 12:08 pm #156034faux paxParticipantWas rewatching it this morning and had a thought:
Rumple mentions that he heald Regina when she was a baby, and Henry Sr. says that Cora knew Rumple before He ever knew her. Maybe that could point to Regina not being Henry’s by blood.
I kind of hope it’s not rumple, though. See post above.

True, Rumpel is very protective over Baelfire and went to such great lengths to design a dark curse and manipulate events, just to come to this world. Despite being the Dark One, I always thought he was a loving dad. It would be horrible if he used one child (Regina) to retrieve another (Baelfire). Regina is probably just the baby of the miller’s daughter, who got away from Rumpel.

That is a good point though. Despite Regina calling Henry Sr. “daddy,” I think the writers intentionally left us questioning who Regina’s father really is. It makes it more intriguing for us as viewers to speculate. I’ve had the suspicion for a while that Cora, the miller’s daughter, married George, a greedy king consumed by a desire for gold. He fits the description of the king in the original tale. For some reason though, he divorced her, maybe when he found out about the deals she’d made with Rumpel. Perhaps King George cast out Cora, when she was pregnant, not knowing if Regina was his child or not.

That would make Rumple’s dig to him in the shepherd all the more hurtful “Pity you and the [im assuming new] queen couldn’t conceive a child of your own,” it would also explain why Regina reminded Charming that he was just the son of a shepherd in “Broken.” And it would explain why Cora was so adamant that Regina became queen: it would be her birthright, even if it was over a different kingdom.
If that was the case, it would be interesting to know who knew what in the few scenes they have together…
and it would make Henry’s family tumbleweed all the more convoluted…
October 8, 2012 at 1:40 pm #156047mikeParticipantI like the King George and Cora theory. Maybe, George knew Cora’s unborn child (Regina) was not his, or couldn’t be his (since he couldn’t have a child with with new queen). So he cast Cora out, where then she hooked up with Henry senior. Good stuff.
October 8, 2012 at 4:16 pm #156059kalliopekiseesParticipantUnwilling to let my theory that the QOH is Regina’s sister, Cora’s first born go, this new Cora and George Theory plays into what I was thinking. If George and Cora were married, perhaps Cora did not out maneuver Gold and had to give up her first born. In turn, George cast her out of the Kingdom. It still makes NO sense to me why the QOH would say that Regina is “no Queen.” If the QOH was the first born, and her father was actually a king, that would make her a true Queen. Also, the miller’s daughter married a king. I don’t think Henry is a king. That relationship doesn’t seem in sync with the original tale.
Thoughts?
