Here’s an idea i saw on tumblar and was interested to hear your thoughts on it. As of the crocodile, we know that Rumple can turn back the clock and deage someone. Do you think he would (or at least be tempted to) do that to Bae if it turns out that he’s not a little boy anymore?

I think Rumple would want to deage Bae so that he can make up for the lost time with Bae. He might think that with Bae back to being a 14 year old, they can carry on like nothing happened. However, I think that a grown up Bae will tell him in no uncertain terms that that is not going to happen. I’d like to see Bae as an old man who has his own family of kids and grandkids who tells Rumple that he has lived his life and wouldn’t change it for the world. Perhaps Henry’s father could be Bae’s son.

I posted a similar theory about Rumpel wanting to turn back the clock for Baelfire in the 2×4 thread, but I’m glad to find your take on the theory. It’d be very interesting to see Rumpel want to have Bae back as he remembers him, but there’s no chance Bae would go for that. I really like the idea that Baelfire’s son in Henry’s dad.

hmmm… I think I like this idea. Instead of Bae being Henry’s father, he is the Grandfather. Then Rumple would be a great-grandfather. This would bring in more characters/storylines like who is the mother. Is she from this world or from a “pit stop” location while he was traveling to this world. (Some folks think Bae might have traveled to other realms before stopping here.)
So instead of Rumple finding his son, he would have found a son, grandson, & great-grandson (Henry)
