I am thinking the reason we are getting all the DISNEY bad guys / evil magic villains coming to STORYBROOKE is Gold is enticing them to come so he can suck them up into the hat. I am thinking things will not go well and Gold will get his COMEUPPANCE.

I think the reason we’re getting all the Disney villains is because ABC is owned by Disney and they use ONCE to promote their own product. It’s no secret that each villain on ONCE has tied into some sort of special “release” from Disney of that particular fairy tale.

From what we know Hook is going to be tasked with suxking other magical beings into the hat and when asked if we would see any male villains, Adam replied with “Great question” so I think we will actually see more than the femme fatale three, and more villains as Rumpel sucks em all in his hat, but somehow, Mal, Cruella, and Ursula will managae to evade him and either work against him or for some reason strike a deal and help him.

And while Ursula is a goddess and we know Mal has magic (or did before she was killed a couple of times?), it’s a big question what villainy we’ll see from Cruella. Now, some of my favorite villains from the show haven’t actually had magic (King George!!!) so it would be interesting to see such a villain in play (since Hook is apparently going to just be a puppy/puppet for a while).

I have a feeling that the hat will never have enough magic in it in order for Rumple’s plan to play out. The Apprentice mentioned to
Rumple that he’d never be able to collect enough power to do what he wants to do. I wonder if the hat is designed to be infinite. Even with Ema’s magic it still won’t be enough…Nothing is impossible on OUAT. Everything has a way of repeating itself. I wonder if the hat is going to take away Rumple’s powers which Rumple doesn’t realise. He thinks it would just mean he’s free of the dagger’s control when in fact the dark one becomes it’s own entity (maybe Chernabog) The human hosts could actually be the dark one’s prison hence why stabbing the previous dark one only transfers the dark one entity to a new host.
In regards to Ursula, I wonder if they are going the PotC Calypso route, goddess trapped into human form.

That could be interesting. Maybe the Dark One Curse was created as a means to confine Chernabog, because he couldn’t be killed, (dark needs to exist to balance out light), so they contained him in a controllable flesh suit as the next best option.
That’s one thing that might make Rumple still redeemable for me, if they play up that it’s not really HIM we’ve been seeing, but rather the Dark One growing so strong that he’s completely overtaken the actual human Rumple, who is curled up sobbing in some quiet corner of his mind while all this crap has been going down. Though, that wouldn’t really fit with his pained expression when Belle was apologising to him

Wonder if they’d let OUAT riff on such a recent live action franchise, (that’s still ongoing)? Frozen is one thing, but PotC is a bit of a different beast. I guess the PotC take on Calypso is over with now though, so maybe they’d let them do something similar? Would they tie her in with Davy Jones as well, I wonder? I really liked what PotC did with those two characters, (though Davy freaked me out because octopus phobia).

Were you reading the chatroom, because I was seriously discussing a very similar theory. However, rather than Chernabog fully possessing Rumple, he more so feeds off of Rumple’s desires the way the Devil traditionally does. Rumple does want to free himself from the dagger, but Chernabog’s influence is convincing him to take extreme measures. Chernabog being a Satanic figure fits too. Also, Rumple wouldn’t know Chernabog’s plans, nor that he even exists as an essence within him. What the Apprentice said about every Dark One specifically trying to steal the hat would also support this theory.
Rumple probably going to try be ‘friends’ with all the villians promising them this and that only to turn on them and put them in the hat by getting hook to do it that way he won’t be harming them hook is…
