Rumple imprisoned

Great podcasts!  Just wondering how the “dark lord” could be imprisoned?  Any thoughts?

In “The Price of Gold,” Rumpelstiltskin did say that only magic could imprison him. We saw some of that magic when he first signed the contract. Maybe there’s hidden magic with the mine-prison.

Or maybe diamonds are somehow magical and disable him. Because he is, after all, in the dwarfs’ diamond mine. I didn’t catch this until I had watched Disney’s Snow White and then rewatched the pilot and realized there are diamonds on the walls of the mine. This also makes sense of Grumpy’s statement, “A lot of dwarf blood went into it.”

I think the diamonds are magical. I thimk they are what fairy dust is made of. Also, I think Rumpel was imprisoned not due to the quill…but the ink 😛 this is an old post. We knew so little back then xD
