Could it be the case that Pan is actually the boy from Rumple’s Prophecy? It always seemed like Henry was going to be the one to be Rumple’s undoing because that is what Rumple believed but after this episode, I’m inclined to think that actually it is Pan who is the Boy…because Pan is ultimately a boy, forever a boy.

I’ve always been suspicious that Henry was actually the boy from the prophecy. Henry was just too neat and I think it’s important that it was always Rumple who thought it was but evidence kept directing us away from Henry.
I think the boy in the prophecy is Peter pan, especially now that we know PP is Rumple’s father which makes the undoing even more sad. Malcolm set Rumple down a path of loneliness and abandonment and now he is his son’s undoing! Sad indeed.
I still think that undoing means losing the Dark One’s powers, which will happen in the future. I don’t think being up in the box is the undoing.

Rumpelstiltskin: How?
Seer: A boy… A young boy will lead you to him. But beware, Rumpelstiltskin, for that boy is more than he appears. He will lead you…to what you seek. But there will be a price. The boy… Will be your undoing.
It could mean Henry. It could mean Pan. It could even mean Nealfire himself.
All I can say for sure is that we need the great undoing debate settled already, because that prophecy has been dissected every which way by everyone and we still just dunno.

I think we’ll have our answer about which boy will be Rumple’s undoing and what that means by 3×11.

Agreed. We know Malcolm is returning in 311 and I suspect it will be a Malcolm/PP flashback

Not silly. Undo could mean ANYTHING

November 20, 2013 at 2:34 pm #225329LaurenParticipanthenry is the key really.. its henry who lead him to his son, and if it wasn’t for henry being the truest believer then pan wouldn’t have wanted him and rumple etc wouldn’t have gone to NL and Rumple wouldn’t have sacrificed himself for henry to pan… therefore it was henry that set in motion rumples undoing..
November 20, 2013 at 8:13 pm #225457TheGoldenKeyParticipantEddy Kitsis confirmed in Journey to Neverland that the boy was in fact Henry.
I’ve always maintained that Rumple’s undoing will be the end of the Dark One’s curse via him sacrificing his life for Henry’s and that’s why the dagger will be used. Rumple believes that in killing Pan he will die so he is in fact sacrificing himself for another. He is the Beast after all at has to transform at some point. Daniel brought this up in discussion this past February here in this link:

I don’t think Rumple will lose his powers though, he’ll only transform to a decent man. If Regina was able to learn magic and acquire it through study, surely this is a skill Rumple will maintain. Thus his undoing is not the loss of power, rather, it is the loss of the Dark One’s soul, his curse.
