Today we get a little back-story on their relationship, discover that M.M. doesn’t like celebrating her birthday and see how things are going with the Rumple-Charming family reunion in New York City.
In the embedded video, we learn that Snow wasn’t always so sweet. In a Fairytale flashback, Queen Eva teaches young Snow about empathy and the real meaning of being a royal. Who would’ve thought that Snow started off as a little brat?
The second clip shows us how Mary Margaret learns of Johanna’s presence in Storybrooke after receiving an unexpected birthday gift. It also looks like Snow hates celebrating her birthday. Is it possible that Queen Eva died on young Snow’s big day?
.
A first look at Queen Eva and young Snow White .The last sneak peek takes us back to New York City, where Mr. Gold wants Emma to convince Neal to come back to Storybrooke with them. He also makes her face the truth about her feelings for Henry’s father.
It’s surprising to see how entitled Snow White behaved as a young girl. Given her behavior with Johanna in the past, it wouldn’t be stretch to assume that young Snow is the person Abrams spoke of when she teased that someone was not always so noble and moral. Do you agree?
Emma and Henry’s relationship is at a turning point right now. Even Mr. Gold says she is starting to sound like Regina when she compulsively lies to Henry in order to protect him. Rumple is kind of taking a fatherly role here by putting Emma’s feelings in perspective, even though he’s acting out of his own selfish desires of bringing his son back home. How do you feel about this new and strange family dynamic? Are you anxious to see what things will be like when they return to Storybrooke and introduce Neal to David and M.M.?
March 1, 2013 at 3:09 am #176037nonnieParticipantOnce Upon A Time has released another script spoiler for the upcoming episode Season 2, Episode 15: “The Queen is Dead,” and it’s a doozy! “The Queen is Dead” takes place in the aftermath of the big Baelfire is Neal! reveal. Amongst the relationships the revelation frames in a new light, is the one between Gold (Robert Carlyle) and Henry (Jared Gilmore). Gold is actually Henry’s grandfather, a fact the two acknowledge in the script sneak peek below:
“So should I call you grandpa now?” Henry asks (voicing a question that, let’s be honest, we all have on our minds).
“Call me whatever you like,” Gold tells Henry…We vote for Grandrump. Or Rumple Pops.
We’ve always loved the dynamic between quasi-baddie Gold and wide-eyed optimist Henry, but now we do even more so. It’s cool to see the show acknowledging their newly-defined relationship, and we hope there is more of it in upcoming episodes.
OUAT is at its best when it exhibits a self-awareness of its fairy tale silliness, grounded in the very real, relatable relationships on the show. When it comes down to it, OUAT is a story about one big messed-up family trying to work things out, and it’s conversations like this one that keeps us coming back for more. We can’t wait to see more of this exchange in next week’s episode!
What do you think Henry should call Gold?

The creators have already said that Emma doesn’t and won’t have another FTL identity.

Hmmm…I don’t know. They can’t straight out say, yes she will – that would be a massive spoiler. I’ll see how this plays out and then I’ll judge.
